Bid to protect centuries old oak trees in Hoo from being removed

The five oak trees could be felled, but local councillor Michael Pearce is calling on the council to give them a protection order.

used to see that tree this trees specifically on their own paper rounds

when I was a young lad in terms of climate change and biodiversity these

trees must be protected they're more important than smashing a cycleway

right down Christmas Lane which hardly anyone's going to use a red rose

spokesperson said it was continuing to work with medway council on its planning

application and make any updates as necessary while the council say the

proposals are still in the consultation phase which comes to an end in June

that means while the petition has gained more than two thousand seven hundred

signatures these oak trees aren't out of the woods just yet
