A majority of the European Union's foreign ministers backed a Dutch proposal to review the bloc's ties with Israel over its actions in Gaza.

00:00The European Union will review its trade and cooperation deal with Israel over its widening
00:07offensive in Gaza and its failure to fully lift a nearly three-month aid blockade.
00:14It will now launch a review to establish whether Israel has breached human rights obligations
00:20under the EU-Israel Association Agreement, a treaty that governs political and trade

00:2817 of the bloc's foreign ministers backed the move, nine voted against and one abstained.
00:35I think what it tells is that the countries see that the situation in Gaza is untenable
00:43and what we want is to really help the people and what we want is to unblock the humanitarian
00:49aid so that it will reach the people there.
