00:00I will say, though, as far as the series, Scott, I'm kind of with you here.
00:05Listen, you could build a house, bro, like with the money that I've lost
00:10betting against the Florida Panthers over the last couple of years.
00:13And I've just got to say, you know what, they're that damn good.
00:16And I'm not getting in front of them anymore.
00:18Doesn't mean I don't think they'll win tonight, though.
00:21One thing with the Panthers, like a lot of championship teams,
00:25they understand that it's a marathon, not a sprint.
00:28We saw it against the Toronto Maple Leafs.
00:31They don't panic after being down a game in a series.
00:34And quite frankly, they often are.
00:38You know, the Panthers are slow starters, actually, in playoff series.
00:41You can get to them earlier in the series.
00:43They get better as it goes on.
00:44They sort of feel you out, although they know Carolina inside out.
00:48All that being stated, Scott, I'm taking Carolina tonight to win the game,
00:51but I think the Florida Panthers will win the series and go back to the Stanley Cup.
00:54You saw them lose the first two in Toronto, and they still, let's face facts,
01:01in game 5-6-1, game 7-6-1.
01:04At the end of the day, they kill them.
01:08As good as the Panthers have been, though, over the last couple of years,
01:12there's been a lot of drama with them, right?
01:14I mean, they've blown three, you know what I mean?
01:16They blew a 3-0 series lead last year, right?
01:20I mean, the Edmonton Oilers nearly came back.
01:22They sent it to seven games, right?
01:24So the Panthers are very streaky.
01:26As good as they are, they don't sweep you, right?
01:29Like, I know they swept the Panthers.
01:31The Panthers swept the Canes a couple of years ago,
01:33but they are vulnerable a couple of times, like everybody.
01:36They're not perfect, right?
01:37I mean, they're playing good teams.
01:39So, listen, I think Carolina.
01:42Carolina's a really, really good team, and they got a chip on their shoulder.
01:45I don't think it helps that Brendan Moore keeps on talking about the playoff series
01:50from two years ago.
01:52For people who don't remember, after they lost,
01:54they got swept two years ago, the Canes to the Panthers.
01:57But, I don't know, maybe three to four games went to overtime type of deal.
02:01Like, they were really close, and Carolina had really bad luck.
02:05And Brendan Moore said after, you know, that's hockey,
02:08but I think we were the better team.
02:10But he got swept.
02:11So he's saying, oh, we thought we were the better team.
02:13He's revisited that.
02:14Like, you know what?
02:15Oh, two years ago, you know, I think we were the better team, actually.
02:18Yeah, no, they were.
02:19And it's like, wow, you're not.
02:20You got swept, right?
02:22And they're the defending Stanley Cup champions, and you're not.
02:24And I wouldn't, like, give them this bulletin board material
02:27about how you're better than they are all the time
02:29because that's the type of stuff that they will pay attention to.
02:32So, you know, I just don't want to get in front of the Florida Panthers
02:36in a series.
02:36But without being stated, Scott, I do like Carolina tonight.
02:39Good one.
