00:00A bilateral meeting by the Departments of Economy, Economic Planning and Development, formerly

00:06DEDA, and by the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority, or TESTA.

00:13This demonstrates how much potential there is to develop in our bilateral relations.

00:20Through the foreign minister, I thank the Mojolian government for helping ensure that the rights

00:25and welfare of around 500 Filipinos now living in Mongolia are protected.

00:31I discuss with her our desire to forge cooperative frameworks that will better protect Filipinos

00:38in Mongolia.

00:40The Philippines and Mongolia are two of the fastest growing economies, not only in Asia, but in

00:46the world.

00:47The future of our bilateral partnership finds strength in our resource-reaching economies.

00:53I also responded positively to Mongolia's interest in learning from the Philippines' experience

01:00in the area of regional development and in pursuing English language training for Mongolia civil

01:07servants and rural officials in the Philippines.

01:10And in this regard, I have just exchanged with the minister, as I said, diplomatic notes pertaining

01:16to a pilot program for Mongolia to study English in the Philippines, which will be organized

01:23by the Technical Cooperation Council of the Philippines.

01:27Beyond our economic ties, the Philippines and Mongolia are Asian democracies, followed by shared values

01:33of freedom, human rights, and the rule of law.

01:37In this context, we reaffirm our shared interest in the evolving Indo-Pacific landscape and in defending

01:43the rules-based international community.

01:47As indicated in our joint statement, the board minister, but the second I emphasized the importance

01:52of adherence to the United Nations Charter and reaffirmed the commitment to the 1982 Manila

01:58Declaration on the Peaceful Settlement of Dispreets.

02:02We also reaffirmed our commitment to the 1982 UN Convention on the Law of the Sea and to our shared

02:09vision of a world free of nuclear weapons.

02:14Just as the human beings pursues an independent foreign policy, I don't put much interest in

02:19doing this third-neighbor policy and the high importance it has been putting on its relations

02:24with the human beings.

03:05I'm confident that we are now entering a new and dynamic

03:09phase in our relationship, one that is guided by shared

03:15priorities and a deep commitment to tangible,

03:19people-centered cooperation.

03:23Our talks were both called looking and centered on translating

03:28our long-standing wood building to concrete outcomes.

03:33I'm pleased to note our initial commitment to strengthening

03:36the conflict and trade lines, including collaborative efforts

03:40to expand our trade volume and advance in the long-anticipated

03:44goal of establishing direct fights between Nagorno and the

03:50Philippines.

03:51Enhanced connectivity will not only promote trade and

03:55tourism, but also foster deeper ties between our peoples.

04:01We also exchanged views on the critical issues of food and

04:06labor security, areas of increasing global concern.

04:10In this context, we welcome the progress toward concluding a

04:15memorabilia of understanding on agricultural cooperation,

04:20which aligns with Mongolia's national food supply and security

04:24campaign.

04:25Likewise, the positive response to Mongolia's proposed labor

04:30agreement reflects our shared responsibility of the rights and

04:35welfare of the Filipino workers in Mongolia.

04:39We treated Mongolia's interests in becoming a sector of

04:43the direct partner of ASEAN.

04:45This effort presents a natural progression of progressive

04:49and Mongolia's engagement with the region.

04:53We are deeply grateful for the Philippines' full support for this

04:57aspiration, which affirms our shared commitment to regional peace,

05:02dialogue, and cooperation.

05:06Equally significant was our discussion on global challenges,

05:09including the urgent need for final action, disaster resilience,

05:14and nuclear disarmament.

05:16I think this opportunity to express some sincere gratitude in the

05:20Philippines for its support of Mongolia's bid to host the

05:2617th conference of other parties of the 17th of the UN convention

05:33to combat desert civilization in Poulomba during 2026.

05:38We believe this conference will support by the critical issue of land degradation

05:43and transportation, and the broadly impacts of climate change

05:48of the region and beyond.

05:50Today's discussions were held in a spirit of genuine friendship

05:56and mutual respect.

05:58They reflect the expanding breadth and depth of our relationship between

06:02rebellion with the Europeans.

06:04Looking ahead with all the remains that was within that,

06:08its commitment to what it also means to deliver meaningful lasting outcomes

06:14for our peoples, and contributes to more peaceful, prosperous,

06:20and sustainable future for the region and the world.
