00:00I'm not sure if that's what I was talking about.
00:04Really?
00:05Yeah.
00:06Really?
00:07Yeah.
00:08He only does it to be as tall as me.
00:35This is my video update on this Saturday afternoon, May the 17th.
00:47Let's talk about some news.
00:51And let's start things off with the Istanbul talks, which concluded yesterday.
01:01Not very long discussions for these types of negotiations.
01:07Usually these types of talks, they can last many, many hours, sometimes many days.
01:16But this one lasted, from what I understand, a couple of hours.
01:22And that was it.
01:23At least the talks between Russia and Ukraine, mediated by Turkey, was just a couple of hours.
01:30And there was a lot of Ukraine leaks, the Ukrainian side.
01:39They were leaking all kinds of information as to what was discussed, making Russia look
01:45bad, making it seem as if the Russian demands were a shock and a surprise, and they were
01:51just too tough and too hard line.
01:58And I waited for the Russians to come out and give a statement as to what was agreed
02:05on during these talks, because the Ukraine side, leaking to the media about the results,
02:14well, not too much trust in what the Ukraine side was telling the media, because their
02:23goal in all of this is to try and sabotage these negotiations.
02:29But the Russians came out with a statement.
02:32The chief negotiator, Medinsky, he said that the talks went well.
02:38That was his statement.
02:39They went fairly well.
02:41The big agreement, and this is a huge deal, is that a thousand prisoners on each side
02:49will be exchanged.
02:51This is a massive win for both sides, for Russia and for Ukraine.
02:59One thousand prisoners being exchanged for Putin, for Russia, the Russian government,
03:11for the Russian people.
03:13This is a big win for the Ukrainian people.
03:20This is a big win.
03:23Medinsky also said that each side will prepare their ceasefire roadmap.
03:35Russians will prepare a ceasefire roadmap, how they view a ceasefire, how to get to a
03:38ceasefire.
03:39Ukraine will do the same.
03:41I think we pretty much know how each side will construct their roadmap.
03:47And then they're going to meet again, to talk again.
03:50And that was pretty much the agreement that was reached.
03:53There are reports saying that the Ukraine side discussed with the Russian side via an
04:00interpreter.
04:02Ukraine brought an interpreter from Ukrainian to Russian, and Russian to Ukrainian.
04:11Of course, everyone at that negotiating table on the Ukrainian side speaks fluent Russian,
04:16and most of them, from my understanding of things, they speak Russian to each other.
04:26As they're having meetings in the government behind closed doors, they all speak Russian.
04:30They do not speak Ukrainian.
04:33But in public, they feel like they have to make it seem as if Ukrainian is going to be
04:41the language that they use.
04:44It's all optics.
04:46It's all optics and spin for all of these guys.
04:50So they brought an interpreter.
04:52Okay.
04:53All right.
04:54Whatever.
04:55That was it.
04:58You know, that was the talks.
05:02Peskov put out a statement today, saying that Russia is going to be preparing their ceasefire
05:09outline.
05:10He said Russia is taking this very seriously, and they're going to prepare the roadmap and
05:15the outline for how to achieve a long-lasting peace, how to get to a ceasefire, and how
05:22to address the root causes.
05:26The Russian chief negotiator, Medinsky, up here is the highway we need to cross.
05:38The chief negotiator, he came out with a statement, saying that this conflict could
05:50have been avoided three years ago.
05:55Keep in mind, he was there.
05:58He was the chief negotiator during the 2022 Istanbul talks, actually the talks that took
06:06place in Belarus and in Istanbul.
06:10He said that the Ukraine conflict could have ended in weeks, Russia's top negotiator.
06:14The West's interference in other nations' affairs has already brought grave consequences
06:19to Europe, Vladimir Medinsky has said.
06:25He also said, and I quote, we don't want war, but we are ready to fight for a year, two,
06:32three, as long as it takes.
06:34We fought with Sweden for 21 years.
06:36How long are you ready to fight?
06:38Allegedly, this is what he told the Ukrainian side, and I believe this because Margarita
06:45Simonyan, the head of RT, she actually confirmed this quote from Medinsky, so I imagine that's
06:57what he told the Ukrainian side.
07:01As long as it takes.
07:02That's what he said, as long as it takes.
07:06All right.
07:09Someone's throwing away some books.
07:12Russian, Russian books.
07:20Someone's throwing away Russian books.
07:22All right.
07:25Let's see here.
07:27Yeah, this could have been avoided.
07:30Absolutely.
07:31This could have been avoided in 2022.
07:34Let's not forget what Russia's goal was in 2022.
07:40Their goal with the beginning of the SMO, the first weeks of the SMO, was not to capture
07:45Kiev.
07:46It was not to overthrow the Elensky regime.
07:50All of that is nonsense.
07:52That is Mark Milley, Biden administration spin.
07:57What Putin was going for in the first couple of weeks of the SMO, and what he succeeded
08:05in doing, up to a point, is that he wanted to get Ukraine, Elensky, to the negotiating
08:13table and to agree to no NATO for Ukraine.
08:20That's what he wanted to do.
08:24And to agree to other things as well that were outlined in the agreement that they came
08:31up with in Istanbul in 2022.
08:34But basically, Putin's main goal was to take NATO for Ukraine off the table and to begin
08:42negotiations and then to come to an agreement, a long-term agreement with Ukraine.
08:51That was the goal of the first couple of weeks of the SMO, and Putin achieved that.
08:56He got Elensky to the negotiating table.
08:58Remember when Putin launched a special military operation, Elensky was very scared.
09:07He was hiding in a bunker and then he called Bennett, Naftali Bennett, and he begged Bennett
09:16to call Putin and to make sure that Putin is not going to get him.
09:21And Bennett said he called Putin and Putin said, don't worry, I'm not going to take Elensky
09:25out.
09:26And Bennett gave his assurances to Elensky and then Elensky went out to the streets of
09:31Kiev and he started talking tough and all of this stuff.
09:35But we even have Naftali Bennett, who has said what was going on in the beginning weeks
09:44of the special military operation, who has revealed everything that was going on during
09:49the first couple of weeks.
09:51And then Boris came to Kiev and he ruined everything.
09:55We know the story.
09:56They had an agreement and then Boris came and the collective West, the Biden administration,
10:01they scrapped that agreement.
10:03As a goodwill gesture, the Russian military removed their forces from wherever they were
10:11located in and around Kiev, also around Odessa as well.
10:15So they removed all of their forces as a goodwill gesture so that they can get Ukraine to, to
10:22build trust, to build trust with the negotiating team, with the Europeans, the Europeans actually
10:28asked Russia as a goodwill gesture as well.
10:30Can you just remove your forces?
10:31We'll sign the agreements.
10:32We'll get the agreement signed and we'll end this, this conflict very quickly.
10:37So that's what Medinsky was referring to when he said this could have ended in just
10:43a couple of weeks.
10:48And then we have the, the big quote that a lot of people are talking about, which is
10:57that Medinsky and the Russian side, they actually told the Ukrainian side that if they
11:07don't get to an agreement this time around, then the four regions will become five.
11:17That is what, what many outlets were running with when the talks concluded.
11:24And that's not really what the Russian said.
11:28Once again, according to Margarita Simonyan, this is what she posted on X story has been
11:38making rounds that Ukrainians were outraged when Russian negotiators said that Ukrainian
11:44soldiers must leave the four new Russian regions as part of the ceasefire to which the Moscow
11:50delegation replied, next time it will be five.
11:55Now our reporter in Istanbul got to ask the Russian side how it really went down.
12:01We didn't say five.
12:02We said eight.
12:05Everyone is talking about this quote, which is part of the Russian terms, a very important
12:14part of the Russian terms, perhaps the foundation, along with no NATO, leaving the four territories
12:23in their entirety is, is part of the foundation of Putin's June 2024 root causes.
12:34I guess someone that watches the show, maybe, maybe not.
12:43Anyway, yeah, so, so Russia, according to the early reports, had told Ukraine that if
12:57we don't get to a ceasefire this time around, if you don't, one of the requirements to get
13:01to a ceasefire, one of the requirements to make progress is that according to the June
13:072024 terms, that's 11 months ago, according to those terms that Vladimir Putin laid out
13:13in his speech at the foreign ministry, it's on, it's on video, it's on YouTube, it's translated.
13:19We have the speech in its entirety, according to that speech and according to those terms,
13:25Ukraine needs to leave those territories, the four territories in their entirety.
13:32And Ukraine, the Ukraine delegation was outraged.
13:36They were outraged at these terms.
13:39Where did these terms come from?
13:40I can't believe that this is what the Russian team is, is telling us.
13:46All of a sudden, they're telling us that we have to leave the four regions.
13:52Those terms have been out there for 11 months, 11 months, we're going on 12 months.
13:58So anyway, it was the shock and outrage, but it wasn't really, uh, next time there's going
14:04to be five.
14:05The quote, according to Margarita Simonyan, according to her sources, was that the Russian
14:09delegation said, next time it's going to be eight.
14:13We didn't say five.
14:14We said eight.
14:16So if you don't, you don't agree to root causes, June, 2024, Istanbul plus, then, uh, the four
14:25is going to become eight.
14:27I actually said this two weeks ago, referencing a quote from Aristovich.
14:33That's what Aristovich said in an interview two weeks ago.
14:36He said that, uh, we should, as Ukraine, as the Elensky regime, we should absolutely
14:41take Putin's, uh, June 2024, uh, deal.
14:47We should take it because we're talking about four regions.
14:53And Aristovich said those four are going to turn into six, and then those six are going
14:58to turn into eight.
15:02And here we are, two weeks later, in Istanbul, and the Russian side is pretty much saying
15:08the exact same things, same thing.
15:10They skipped the six.
15:11They just went straight to eight.
15:13They said the four is going to become eight.
15:15Anyway, uh, that's, that's the quote that, that a lot of people are talking about from
15:20these negotiations.
15:22The reaction from the collective West is as, as you probably expect, right?
15:29They're, uh, they're outraged.
15:32They're disappointed.
15:33Mertz is disappointed at the, uh, at the talks.
15:38Stahmer said Russia's terms are unacceptable.
15:41Says 008, here, Stahmer, unacceptable.
15:48Bloomberg, Bloomberg is, is saying that Russia made sweeping demands in Istanbul, sweeping
15:56demands.
15:59The Daily Mail is shocked that Russia is demanding more land.
16:05Absolutely shocked.
16:06Where did this request come from?
16:07Out of the blue.
16:08It just, out of the blue, out of the blue, the Russians decided, you know what?
16:13The four oblasts in their entirety.
16:19Of course, most, most people who have been following the conflict in Ukraine, the people
16:25that aren't acting and lying and playing it dumb or just delusional, they know exactly
16:32what Russia's terms were in, uh, in June of 2024.
16:39They know the terms that have been made public for almost a year.
16:48This is Zuzu's for sale, if anyone is interested.
16:58So a lot of this, uh, this shock and disappointment and unacceptable and I can't believe what
17:03the Russians came up with.
17:06Where did they think of these terms?
17:08Where did these terms come from?
17:12It's acting.
17:14It's theater.
17:15It's ignorance.
17:16It's delusion.
17:17It's not listening to, to Russia.
17:18They never listen to anything that Russia says.
17:19They never report on anything that Russia says.
17:20They never listen to what Putin says.
17:21They never report on anything that, uh, that Putin, uh, says during a speech or a statement.
17:22They never analyze his speeches or statements.
17:23Nope.
17:24They never talk to the Russians or take what the Russians say seriously.
17:25And now all of a sudden, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the,

27:03he puts together these bone-crushing sanctions well then the Russian economy
27:09is just going to implode because tatters tatters the oil price he said is low
27:14he's gonna lower the oil price even further and the Russian economy is going
27:19to collapse so he's making a whole bunch of threats and and then he said
27:25this is a I like this one I like this latest spin I really like this latest
27:29spin he said that Putin did not go to to Istanbul because Trump said he wasn't
27:37going to go to Istanbul and that's why Putin did not go to Istanbul and then
27:41Trump said that only he and Putin can solve the conflict in Ukraine so you
27:47know I I went back are we doing on time yeah we're doing all right so I went
27:54back and re-reread and listened to I read the transcript we read the
28:01transcript listen to Putin's a speech that he gave on Saturday night and you
28:07know what I've been reporting this thing all wrong yeah I've been reporting this
28:14thing all wrong Putin in his speech that he gave Saturday night actually did
28:20say that that he is going to go to Istanbul if Trump goes to Istanbul
28:29Putin actually said that he said I will go I will travel to Istanbul but only
28:35but only if Trump decides to go to Istanbul and he said if Trump doesn't go
28:41to Istanbul he said that I'm not gonna go to Istanbul he said that in a speech
28:44it's it's tucked away in that speech it's hidden away in that speech but if
28:48you listen very very carefully you'll hear Putin say that so yeah that's
28:54that's right that is right what else what else did he say he talked about
29:02Syria actually he said that he lifted the the sanctions on Syria because MBS
29:09asked him to so that's that's why he lifted the Caesar sanctions the very
29:18harsh sanctions on Syria Al Jalani HTS Al Qaeda government the rulers if you
29:28want to call them a government the rulers of Syria is because MBS asked
29:33asked him to so that was basically the the interview that Putin gave to that
29:40Putin that Trump gave to Brett Baier so the Telegraph they're panicking over the
29:49possibility of a Trump Putin meeting the Telegraph has an article with the title
29:54Trump meeting Putin is Ukraine's worst nightmare Kiev fears a peace deal
29:59stitch-up if the two leaders meet but the US claims it is the only way to
30:03achieve a breakthrough so what the Telegraph is worried about what they're
30:07revealing in this article because this article is revealing all of our
30:11reporting my reporting Alexander's reporting reporting that we've done
30:14Durand it's just basically confirming everything that we've been reporting on
30:17which is that the main goal of of the Europeans the UK and Ukraine the main
30:23goal in all of this that has been unfolding over the past couple of weeks
30:27was to get the United States to to join the Europeans in in sanctions against
30:34Russia because once the United States started sanctioning Russia then that
30:40meant that the United States was once again fully invested and bogged down in
30:46project Ukraine and their greatest fear is that Trump is going to sit down with
30:53Putin and all of the misinformation that I just talked about that Trump was
30:58repeating in this interview with Brett Baier all of this information will be
31:03corrected by Putin once the two of them sit down just the two of them without
31:08Europeans without Lenski Putin will set Trump straight he'll tell him how it
31:16really is what's really going on what what the goals were in the beginning of
31:23the special military operation what the terms are for Russia going for forward
31:30June 2024 the true military situation everything they're afraid that Putin is
31:36basically going to tell Trump the truth and once Putin tells Trump the truth
31:40they're very very afraid that that Trump is going to sign off on Istanbul Plus
31:49and that is going to be a fate a complete presented to a Lenski in the
31:56collective West so that's their big worry that is what the telegraph is is
32:04saying in this article we have a lot of elections taking place tomorrow everybody
32:11a whole lot of of elections that are taking place tomorrow Sunday we got
32:22elections in Portugal the government in Portugal has only been around I believe
32:29for one year but we have snap elections taking place because the current
32:35government under Prime Minister Luis Montenegro they got they got caught up
32:43in a scandal and they had to call snap elections from my understanding of
32:48things his family the Prime Minister's family had a company that was involved
32:55in in data collection so they had some sort of data protection consultancy data
33:07collection and the Prime Minister's family had this company and this is a
33:12conflict of interest and and now they have to call snap elections but does
33:18look like he will win again though he won last year with a very small with it
33:30with a very small majority not even a much you can even get a majority he had
33:35to put together from what I understand the coalition but it looks like he's
33:41going to squeak out a first place again in these elections and he's gonna have
33:48to form a coalition again and the populist leader of the Chega party
33:55leave Ventura he fell ill to to a stomach virus and let's go to the shade
34:03and he was unable to campaign during the last couple of days crazy stuff
34:11happening in Portugal I hope I got all of that right but you see what I was
34:14saying yesterday what did I say yesterday in my walk and talk where I
34:18was talking about how the political class love to have these events love to
34:26do these summits because they have business dealings and all kinds of stuff
34:29right and here you have the family of the Prime Minister of Portugal who who
34:36has companies his family has companies that do all kinds of consultancy and
34:40data protection and stuff like that so yeah that's that's how things work with
34:48the globalist political elite they have all kinds of businesses man they have
34:52all kinds of businesses their family has businesses their cousins have businesses
34:56their best friends have businesses yep anyway that is what's going on in
35:03Portugal we have elections in Poland the first round I believe of presidential
35:10elections so Duda is done Duda has served two terms the do-do-do-da-da-da is
35:18over no more Duda no more hugging Olenski oh no I won't be able to smell
35:24that Olenski number five come here Volodymyr yeah no more no more
35:30Olenski number five for Andrzej Duda and and Duda was acting as as a bit of
35:40let's say a counterweight to Tusk because Duda was considered part of the
35:44Populist Party right and and Tusk is considered the the globalist and in
35:53these presidential elections if you go by the polling it is expected that the
35:58globalist supporter of Tusk is going to be president and this would mean that
36:04Tusk will have accomplished the defeat of populism and and patriotism in in
36:14Poland he will have turned the entirety of the Polish government into a
36:20globalist government and so Tusk is getting a lot of praise from the
36:25globalist collective West mainstream media we'll see what happens in Poland I
36:32do believe this is the first round so we will we will see what what the
36:36results are and finally we have the big elections tomorrow the second round of
36:42the elections in Romania and Simeon is expected to win but the the opposition
36:53which is also the globalist supported opposition of the former well the
36:57current mayor of Bucharest he what's the guy's name Dan lieutenant Dan
37:03lieutenant Dan that's the guy's last name is Dan Nico Suhr I believe Nico
37:09Suhr Dan but I just call him lieutenant Dan he he's the opposition he's the
37:15globalists guy and the polls that are coming out once again from the collective
37:22West sources are that Simeon's lead is just three points if you believe these
37:28polls I don't believe these polls but we are getting early voting from Moldova
37:36which is showing that they are coming out big-time in support of lieutenant
37:42Dan that's right Moldova Moldova in France actually because Simeon he is
37:49saying that Macron and the French Embassy in Bucharest is is up to all
37:53kinds of trickery they're trying to rig the elections in Romania and he is
37:59saying that something strange is happening in Moldova the allegations
38:06come as early turnout among Romanians voting in Moldova is nearly three times
38:11the level of the comparable period in the first round on May 4th according to
38:16data from the Romanian permanent electoral authority so something strange
38:23is happening in Romania something very strange is going on anyway let's get to
38:30some clown worlds and we can wrap this video up are we doing on time here oh my
38:40god I got to really wrap this up so we'll do we'll do a clown world
38:48connected to Albania we'll talk about Albania the EECP or the EPC summit the
38:57clown posse summit in Albania and the leaders were greeted with an AI
39:03generated video of the world leaders as shrunken babies this was so cringe I
39:14can't even explain how cringe this welcome video was and the little babies
39:23were saying welcome to Albania and and they were shrunken versions of the world
39:30leaders shrunken versions of Macron of Ursula of Maloney of Mertz it was it was
39:39so so cringe man so cringe what is wrong with the European leaders man what is
39:47wrong with these people Maloney liked it she liked it Italy's
39:52Giorgia Maloney thanked the organizers for making there's a direct quote for
39:57making me feel very young again that's right Maloney said thank you to the
40:01organizers for making me feel like a baby an AI an AI generated baby thank
40:07you so much organizers in Albania very cringe very cringe video very very weird
40:15very strange very bizarre I did not I did not like it I did not like that
40:21video Ursula she said during the the summit in recent years we have talked a
40:28lot about the need for Europe to wake up today Europe is awake wide awake and
40:32while Russia has left Europe the European political communities united to
40:37preserve peace on our continent that's right because Europe is is an idea it's
40:44an idea it's not a geography it's not borders or boundaries it's an idea
40:50according to Ursula anybody can be in Europe or be European Canada can be
40:56European Australia can be European Ukraine Moldova Cyprus anybody anybody
41:04anywhere the United States under Biden anybody can be European it's just an
41:10idea and Russia has now left the idea of Europe and Europe is wide awake ready
41:17for new for new countries to join the idea of Europe the religion of Europe
41:24that's what it is it's a religion Ursula all right I think I will end the video
41:30there by the way from this Albania summit we are getting reports that
41:35Europe is indeed looking to place sanctions on Nord Stream Nord Stream
41:41okay let's not investigate it let's not get to the bottom of what happened let's
41:46place sanctions on it instead all right that's what we'll do so they're gonna
41:51place sanctions on Nord Stream obviously they're afraid that the US and Russia is
41:54gonna come to some sort of a deal with whatever's left of Nord Stream and so
41:59they want to preempt some sort of a business deal between Russia and the
42:02United States and they're also looking at sanctions inspired by Lindsey Graham
42:08the Europeans said they've been inspired by the 500% bone-crushing secondary
42:13sanctions that Lindsey Graham is talking up they feel very inspired and
42:17so they're going to place similar sanctions on Russia because the the 17
42:24sanctions packages have worked out so well for Europe anyway that is the video
42:29the Durand.locals.com we are on Rumble Odyssey, Bitchy Telegram, Rockfin and X
42:32go to the Durand shop pick up some merch like what I'm wearing in this video
42:34update take care I will see everybody tomorrow
