00:00Did you know that a shark can smell your fear?

00:03Sharks have an incredible sense of smell.

00:06They can detect blood from miles away,

00:09and they can also sense fear.

00:12When a shark is close to you,

00:14you should stay calm and don't make any sudden movements.

00:18If you do, the shark will think that you are prey and try to attack you.

00:23Sharks are cold-blooded, which means that they are not mammals.

00:27They are actually more closely related to snakes and lizards.

00:32Despite being cold-blooded,

00:34sharks need to keep moving in order to survive.

00:37If they stop moving, they will eventually die.

00:41This is why sharks are always swimming around.

00:44Sharks don't need to swim at all times.

00:47Some species of sharks can actually walk on land.

00:51Sharks can also breathe out of water,

00:53but only for a few minutes.

00:55There are some species of sharks that can live in fresh water,

00:59but most sharks prefer to live in salt water.
