00:00How are you going? What the Democrats said. You don't have to tell me. I think I know what they said.
00:08This week, we should be on the Genius Bill, which is a stablecoin bill.
00:13As most of you know, we had a vote to motion to close you on a motion to proceed last week,
00:18which every single Democrat, every single Democrat voted against.
00:23In spite of the fact that there were five Democrats who voted for that exact legislation when it came out of the Senate Banking Committee.
00:31So the Democrats have now found newfound admiration for the Senate filibuster.
00:38The junior senator from Arizona was in Pennsylvania over the weekend.
00:42By the way, he was one of the Senate Democrats who voted for the Genius Bill when it came out of the Senate Banking Committee.
00:47And he was out there just crowing about the fact that the Senate Democrats have used the filibuster now four times.
00:55They stopped four bills via the filibuster.
00:58And so pretty remarkable, honestly, that the Democrats now are in love with the Senate filibuster.
01:05And given the fact that every single Senate Democrat either voted for or campaigned in favor,
01:16or I should say in favor of getting rid of the filibuster.
01:19So it's a pretty remarkable turnaround.
01:22Not that hypocrisy is something that's new in this town, but this seems to take it to a whole new level.
01:27So, and since we're not doing that, we're going to move forward on nominations
01:31and confirm a lot of President Trump's nominees.
01:34That's the process that we've undertaken in the lieu of having a Genius Bill available for consideration on the floor.
01:41And I would point out, with respect to that subject,
01:44that this is the first president that hasn't had a nominee that has been approved by voice vote
01:52or unanimous consent at this point in a Senate going back, if you can believe this, to the Ford administration.
02:01So the Democrats have opted and chosen obstruction.
02:05They've chosen blocking.
02:06They've chosen delay as their means of kind of trying to manage the institution these days.
02:13But we're going to, in spite of that, continue to press forward.
02:16We're going to continue to move the Republican agenda,
02:19which starts with getting the President's nominees into place as quickly as possible.
02:23So that is the agenda for this week.
02:27And at some point, hopefully the Democrats will come back to the table on the Genius Bill
02:30and we'll get to a point where we can put it back on the floor.
02:34Unfortunately, we didn't have that opportunity this week
02:37because they chose to filibuster it last week.
