Bears QB Caleb Williams paid the Vikings the ULTIMATE COMPLIMENT

00:00The Minnesota Vikings were paid the ultimate compliment while also trashing one of their

00:04biggest rivals. Let's talk about it.

00:09Minnesota Vikings are one of the more respected organizations in the entire National Football

00:13League. The NFLPA survey over the last three years has graded them first, second, and second

00:18across all 32 teams in the National Football League. They are viewed incredibly highly.

00:23Everybody who comes through the doors speaks very well of the Minnesota Vikings and how they treat

00:28their people. Now, one of the players that potentially wanted to come here kind of came

00:34out earlier this week. Caleb Williams. Caleb Williams told Seth Wickersham, who is writing

00:41the book American Kings, a biography of the quarterback that is set to release later this

00:45year that he wanted to play for the Vikings. And his dad was a very forthcoming about him

00:51not wanting Caleb to go to Chicago. He told Wickersham, Chicago is the place quarterbacks

00:56go to die. He told agents that year, I don't want my son playing for the Bears.

01:01And when they had their meeting at the combine, Caleb Williams and Minnesota Vikings, he said,

01:07I need to go to the Vikings. His dad, Carl, was like, let's do it. But there was one problem.

01:11You'd have to John Elway it. You have to Eli Manning it. And it turns out Caleb wasn't willing

01:16to do that, which completely understandable. But this tells us two things. One, Kevin O'Connell

01:22continues to make an incredible impression upon everybody that he meets. Second, it's

01:29the Bears. Everybody knew that it was going to be a disaster with Iber Fusen Waldron.

01:34Nobody wanted to really admit it. Caleb Williams was the third quarterback in a row picked in

01:38the first round where they did not fire the head coach that should have been fired and

01:43then fired him the next year while that quarterback was a rookie. It was a disaster waiting to happen.

01:48It did happen. And now the Bears are hoping that Ben Johnson can fix it. But make no mistake,

01:54this coming out that Caleb did not want to play in Chicago is not good for the Bears.

01:58And it also coming out that he wanted to be a Minnesota Viking. Gosh, that's just the ultimate

02:03compliment. Kevin O'Connell is one of the best in the league and he's getting the recognition
