The event could cost between $25 million and $45 million and will feature 6,600 troops, 150 vehicles, and 50 aircraft, according to an Army spokesperson. Around 5,000 service members will be housed in federal buildings in the days leading up to the event. Trump called the upcoming military parade “peanuts compared to the value of doing it.” The parade will conclude a week of events marking the Army’s 250th anniversary.
