00:22Matapos ang 30 taon mula ng ipasa ang Republic Act 7309,

00:27pinirmahan ngayong araw ang Revised Implementing Rules and Regulations o IRR ng Board of Claims Act sa ilalim ng Department of Justice.

00:36Pinangunahan ni DOJ Undersecretary Raul Vasquez ang ceremonial signing ng naturang Revised IRR ng RA 7309.

00:45Ang isinagawang rebisyon ay upang matugunan ang matagal ng kahilingan ng mga claimants sa ahensya.

00:50Layon ng bagong Implementing Rules and Regulations na gawing mas mabilis at mas madali ang proseso ng Victim Compensation Program ng ahensya.

00:59Isang programang nagbibigay ng tulong pinansyal sa mga naging biktima ng unjust imprisonment and violent crimes.

01:06This effort of revisiting and revising the IRR to address the needs of today mirrors our evolving understanding of justice

01:17and our growing resolve to make a system that is more responsive, compassionate, and attuned to the lives of the people who it's meant to serve.

01:28Sa ginawang rebisyon, pinalawak ang coverage ng programa.

01:32Dito, pinasimple rin ang ilang kinakailangan dokumento at proseso para sa aplikasyon.

01:38The revision to the IRR includes, on coverage, certain crimes such as the Anti-Trafficking Impersions Act,

01:49the Anti-Terrorism Act, and the Anti-Torture Act were included in the enumeration

01:56as these laws specifically provide that victims thereof are either considered as victims of violent crimes.

02:05Ayon kay Undersecretary Raul Vasquez, bagamat walang anumang halaga ang makapapantay sa paghihirap ng mga biktima,

02:13ang hakbang na ito ay bahagi ng patuloy na paninindigan ng DOJ na makapaghatid ng tunay na hustisya sa bawat Pilipino.
