00:0015 second board is now up for mxgp moto number two and all eyes on the gate as the five second
00:13board goes up the gate drops and they were oh banging bars there from benestan and the wolf
00:21puts them both back and kunan to the inside oh it's going to be tight with him and zanki i think
00:25that was sasha kunan maybe by about half a wheel that got the whole shot but you may have seen on
00:31the start straight there dimal benestan and kai de wolf tangling bars they both stayed on the machines
00:37but neither got a particularly good run into the first corner as they all go charging through so
00:43yet another lightning start from sasha kunan benestan second and a much better start this time
00:50for simon langenfelder third dropped the bike in the first moto remember but the track certainly a lot
00:56drier than it was in moto number one kai de wolf down in 17th position so he certainly came off
01:03worse benestan has gone through i believe in around fifth position yes indeed he has so benestan fifth
01:10but look at your timing charts on the left hand side of the screen kai de wolf the red plate holder
01:15down in 17th position got together on the start straight with benestan and he definitely came
01:22off worse so after a brilliant first moto he has got it all to do here as the second moto gets underway
01:28oh a little bit of paddling in the ruts there enduro style almost for sasha kunan went a bit wide on the
01:34first right hander on that first lap and they go through the waves
01:39of course the riders do have a sighting lap before they go out onto the track for their moto but
01:45they have a good old look at these ruts but you can only really get to grips with the circuit at race
01:52speed you would say it's anki second langenfelder third adamo fourth evertz in fifth and david
01:59brasaras the jm honda spanish rider who had a nasty tumble in the free practice yesterday he's had a tough
02:05weekend but certainly getting out of the gate quite well so liam evertz well i don't know if
02:09he saw what happened to uh de wolf at the start but he'll know where he is on the track and he'll
02:15know that he's ahead of de wolf here so this could be the opportunity if evertz can get to work here
02:19to try and take the victory at the end of this moto but i'm sure that adamo and langenfelder will
02:26have other ideas about that you may remember in moto number one liam evertz he started strongly
02:31and as the moto went on really seemed to move it up an extra gear in the final few laps
02:37de wolf up to 15th position we'll keep an eye on him as the moto goes on so we're still kernan leading
02:43the way just over two seconds from zanke langenfelder as we look further down the field there is kai de
02:49wolf goes for the tear-off over the tabletop remember of course he will be getting filled in
02:53by everyone look closely at the number one of kai de wolf caught the handlebars there
02:59squeezed out between his teammate and of dimor benestan and went into the first corner almost
03:06in last position he's just behind the number 47 of carlos risalas and the latvian on the factory
03:14yamaha currently in 14th position but look at de wolf he's getting absolutely filled in oh as somebody
03:19takes a tumble one of the hondas goes down that's zanke oh what a shame for him and he's in the
03:25sloppy mud on the outside of the circuit let's go back and just seems to lose the front end on
03:32the braking bumps they are still very slippery and very treacherous and down he goes as the team
03:38can only wave their arm in despair well zanke was talking ahead of this grand prix he was looking
03:46to get back to his best he's made a few errors he was saying he's not been entirely happy with his
03:49riding and what a shame for him after a strong first moto he's back on the course now i believe
03:56just looking at the timing charts and up to 12th position coincidentally just ahead of his hrc honda
04:03teammates valerio lata who's not had the strongest of weekends by his standards but nonetheless looking
04:09trying it back towards the top 10 and they are both just ahead of kai de wolf who's moved up to
04:1514th position but it's a battle between the red bull ktms not only for grand prix victory here but also
04:21in terms of the mx2 title races kasvalk has dropped it again the venroy ktm and the back wheel locked up
04:28again we thought he may have seized the engine motor one but there's something in the drive chain maybe
04:33just the weight of mud that's locking that machine together and kasvalk who riding for the gabriel ss
04:402014 last season and that's the team that oriel olivier the spaniard is now riding for in 2025
04:47so kasvalk took the british motocross championships at the excellent preston dock circuit
04:53in lancashire last year before moving to venroy ktm in 2025
04:58there's david braseras on the jm honda
05:09belgian team
05:12overseen of course by the 1993 500 cc world motocross champion jackie martins
05:19of course in his riding oh as braseras topples over the front wheel just uh lost it in the mud on
05:25the outside it's still a little bit heavy going out there and poor old braseras who as we say had
05:30that nasty tumble in the free practice after that strong start he's got to pick the machine up of
05:35course when he dropped the bike like that it's not a major spill but just saps the energy getting the
05:39bike picked up out of the mud and back underway again so we were just saying about the 1993 world champion
05:46jackie martins he'll be a little bit discouraged by that that was a rider who we saw most of his career
05:52on the austrian machinery and back then of course the swedish italian oscarvana mark back in those
06:01days it is very much under the austrian awning nowadays we did see the wade yellows out there but
06:06i don't think it concerns any of our race leaders because they're all there there's kurden
06:10langenfelder and adamo so brilliant start for the red bull ktm team one two and three at the moment
06:16and this looks to me like the triumph going down
06:25so that's uh guillan farres that went down the young spaniard signed on to the factory
06:30triumph team for 2025 and he had some uh good pace last weekend in portugal but it's a shame for him
06:37as kasval still attempting to get that veneroy ktm back underway but the slumped shoulders i think
06:44perhaps tell a story of its own they're struggling to get that bike going again as adamo
06:50locks the bike into the rut there gets the power down you can see there is some fairly grippy
06:56subsoil underneath there just to be careful those acceleration bumps liam evarts just a little bit
07:01further behind in four this is how they will look at the moment all very close indeed and at the moment
07:07sasha kurden is on for the grand prix but all eyes are on kai de wolf
07:14who's up to eighth position now so we'll watch him he's the rider to beat
07:17kind of kind of wolf in moto number one of course took a very strong moto victory so you would say the
07:33destiny of this grand prix still very much in his hands he's up to eighth position now just behind
07:37his fellow dutchman rick el zinger on the factory yamaha yamaha's fifth and seventh in the top ten of the
07:44moments with carlos reisel is the latvia just a little bit further behind in 11th position
07:50gilion fara is on the triumph has got going again he's in 17th position
07:56cam mcclellan nowadays of course is the triumph team leader currently in sixth position
08:04mcclellan has had one of two misfortunes one of two spills this year but also taking his first
08:09ever grand prix motocross victory just a couple of rounds ago and he's still charging nicely in sixth
08:19position it was the first i believe the first victory for a british manufacturer in grand prix
08:24motocross racing since 1969 so certainly a historic moment for triumph who really seemed to be making
08:30inroads in the mx2 championship class at the sharp end of the field you would say and there will be
08:37joining the mxgp class next year on their 450 machine but it's ktm that lead the way in this
08:45second moto with sasha koernan at the moment sitting on top of the podium all eyes on the wolf of course
08:52if he could just grab a couple of extra positions he would take the grand prix victory but koernan
08:57charging hard at this stage he makes his way through the rhythm section and through the left-hander
09:02this nasty little switch back over the mound has caused a few riders out there some pretty gnarly
09:06acceleration bumps coming out to the corner and it looks like the battle hotting up between the
09:10chasing ktm's here with andrew adamo still in second langenfeld the third you can see how those
09:16acceleration bumps pitching the back wheel left and right as they skit about over those
09:22there's adamo trying oh he uh didn't want to be too aggressive there for the block pass on his
09:29teammate he just seemed to bail out of that one then he got the drive out of the corner
09:33i've got to be careful as liam evans starts to pressure langenfeld of the third
09:38evans taking the tighter line out of the corner a bit more grip on the loamy soil trying out lap by lap
09:46evans really does need to try and break into this trio of ktms at the front of the field
09:51if he's to stand a chance of taking the overall it's all very finely poised at this stage sasha koernan
09:55still sitting as the virtual grand prix winner as things stand at the moment but we still have 20 minutes
10:01plus two laps to go as evans charged away still in fourth place
10:09the lap times have increased substantially in moto number two with the track being a lot
10:13drier there you see your virtual podium at the moment koernan and evans tied on points but
10:19koernan of course with the better score in the second motor with the victory would take the overall
10:24as things stand at the moment damo third the wolf at the moment off the podium and
10:28you can't write off the wall benistan who is sitting handily in fifth position
10:33not quite on the pace of the leaders at the moment but still hanging on in there
10:38so any one of these five you would realistically say could uh yet win the grand prix
10:43these next 20 minutes going to be very important indeed as the wolf there he is he is still in eighth
10:49position
10:49as we're saying though the pace really has picked up the riders lapping in the 150s last time oh as
10:56evans makes a mistake in the outside line there in the soft stuff down he goes and he's got
11:01back on the machine just behind cam mcclellan
11:06so that drops evans to sixth position just ahead of elzinga and kyde wolf would have seen that of course so
11:13as you never want to see a rival hit trouble it will nonetheless be encouraging for him to see that
11:17he's catching up on his teammates as evans has a look over the shoulder don't want to do that too often
11:23evans just trying to regain his composure here
11:28he was very quick towards the end of the first moto some nice lines together
11:35the riders lapping about six seconds a lap i would say on average quicker than they did in moto number one
11:40certainly not a dry track you would say at this stage but there is a bit more pace in there they're
11:46going not quite as heavy
11:50you can really see some dry lines starting to develop
11:56lugo circuit is a little as we say quite different from many of the traditional spanish
12:02motocross grand prix circuits when you think back in the times gone by the likes of talavera that was
12:08very very much a mainstay in the 1990s grand prix calendar the hillside almost blue line hard pack circuit
12:20and then the wolf still pressuring rick elzinga keeping that pressure on the dutchman they go head to
12:27head the only real oh down the inside he goes has a look on the inside and again switching to the inside
12:34of elzinga trying to go for the block pass he knows that he needs to get these positions as the moto goes
12:39on i think a little bit squirrelly out of the corner as they head towards the likumali tabletop jump
12:43and the wolf down the inside is he gonna have the grip there to make the block pass
12:48well he got the front wheel in there forced elzinga to go wide so he's going to go into the left-hand
12:54corner just before the monster energy tabletop there and he couldn't quite get the line so elzinga
13:01he goes back into seventh place so the only real one of the main exceptions to your typical hardpack
13:09spanish circuit previously was red sand
13:15the over towards the catalan area of the country more towards the south where it's a regular training
13:21venue has only held one grand prix back in 2018 when tony cairoli won an mxgp
13:28jonas in mx2 here we see that battle yet again so well sing it down the inside got the bars in
13:34there got the front wheel through and the wolf had to go wide
13:40so yeah red sand very much a sand base circuit popular pre-season training venue not only for
13:45the grand prix riders but the european mx250 riders and domestic riders from all over europe in their
13:51respective championships like to get some warm weather training in and it's certainly starting to warm up
13:57here at lugo both on and off the track the overall results still finally poised here
14:04the wolf looking to try and grab that victory sasha kunin leads the way and at the moment looking to try
14:09and get on the top step of the podium all he can do here is keep his composure keep the pace going
14:13and whatever happens behind him what will be will be would say
14:21we'll go back to the start and again attention on that
14:26inside line from the corner where kaido wolf tangled bars got squeezed out but a lovely start down the
14:30inside from sasha kunin yet another lightning start from the belgium farukio zanki just behind him
14:36so you just saw on the right hand side of the screen there benestar moving across as it is right of
14:43course squeezed into de wolf who also lost out to evarts and there he is right at the back of the field he
14:49was almost in last place when they made their way through sasha kunin leads the way increasing the gap now
14:56to 10.3 seconds and looking very strong at this stage the foxhole shot winner from moto number two
15:04trouble there with looks like oriel olivier just trying to identify the second rider another one of
15:11the ktms doesn't appear to be anything too serious
15:17sasha kunin really starting to get into a nice rhythm here well there we are it's the
15:23oh that's a block pass gone wrong almost uh ama supercross style there that was spectacular that
15:31was uh quantum prunier the rider going down the inside of olivier got the block pass all wrong
15:35and just t-boned him so uh i don't think olivier would be too happy about that one
15:43so so sasha kunin down the inside of bennekins and leads the way
15:53gap going up to 11.1 seconds at this stage so in terms of the overall it's potentially out of
16:00kernan's hand it's all down to what uh kyde wolf can do in this second part of the race
16:07but certainly sasha kunin looking very good at this stage coming in a nice rhythm this is
16:12certainly the raw pace that earmarks him out as a future star
16:16certainly a star of the present as well
16:23but really he's talked of as a potential world champion as the wolf has locked down the inside
16:28of el zinger sasha kunin only with one moto win this year took the second moto in argentina
16:36second in the second moto last weekend at portugal but a spectacular trip over the bars in moto one meant
16:43he wasn't the factor for the overall but still as he were with the virtual podium
16:49you see kyde wolf trying to go down the inside for the block pass but he saw it wasn't it wasn't going
16:54to happen just backed out of it nice and early didn't want to risk colliding with the yamaha of el zinger
17:01he can ill afford another spill or another incident here certainly can't afford a collision to drop him down
17:07the field but in these tough conditions it's difficult to really make your way through the field especially
17:13towards the sharp end of the field sasha kunin losing a little bit of time to andrew adamo the gap goes down
17:19to just over nine seconds
17:26and at the moment andrew adamo just seems to have found a bit of pace over the last couple of laps he
17:30gained about half a second on kernan last time round goes down the inside of americans
17:38last time round 147.9 liam evans incidentally fastest lap of the race 147.553 last time so
17:46the pace started to come into the track as the moto goes on
17:51heavy showers overnight but it has been fairly dry throughout the afternoon and the track getting
17:55drier and drier and of course as the moto goes on new lines will start to develop the riders will
18:00get into a flow they might find some better traction out there liam evans currently the fastest rider on
18:07the track but he is down in fifth position gets past cam mcclellan of course on the triumph mcclellan
18:12still in six oh was again the wall tries to go down the inside you can see that inside line
18:16rut through the waves getting very deep indeed you'll see the riders having to paddle through there later on
18:23one would say is that gets dug out even more lose momentum they might have to change their lines there
18:28we see again that potential pass on the inside kidewolf again backing out just playing it cool
18:36making the way through the waves up towards the final part of the lap
18:41gap still 9.6 seconds from kernan and adamo adamo gaining on koonen at this stage though
18:46langenfeld is still third so after a difficult first moto if things stay as they are it won't be all that bad
18:53for simon langenfelder the german currently a very close second in the title race he came into the
19:00first moto only five points down on kidewolf lost points in moto number one of course as he had to
19:06battle through the field but he's running well in third place at the moment staying comfortably ahead
19:12of benestan everts still in fifth all the time pulling away from kidewolf who's not really gaining on
19:18that lead group struggling to get past rick elzinga at the moment as elzinga goes down the side of
19:25the the lapped benikens just sitting outside of the points at the moment rick elzinga another rider who
19:32would age out of the category currently 22 years old he'll turn 23 later this year
19:38there he is number four former emx champion in 2022 won the dutch masters of motocross last year
19:51and in 2022 but struggled to quite get the form in mx2
20:00it's good and again you see just how difficult the circuit is the back end kicking out
20:04cunnan keeping it planted though still charging away
20:12cunnan with that squat almost eric gabor style on that machine
20:18the late belgian multiple world champion the first one to win 125 250 and 500 so they called in the kid
20:26and sasha cunnan certainly with the body shape very small and squat on the bike all action when you're
20:33watching around there's langenfeld a little bit further behind
20:37charging through past the fox hole shot point and running comfortably in third just seems to have
20:40lost a bit of momentum on adamo at this stage comfortably ahead of benestant so the race just
20:47starting to settle down a bit now with nine and a half minutes plus the two laps to go
20:53but certainly in terms of his title aspirations third will be
20:57fairly steady you would say for langenfelder crucially here staying ahead of de wolf who is struggling to
21:03make his way through still
21:10sasha cunnan still continuing to lead the way by 9.4 seconds so adamo is still closing but
21:16not quite as much as he was previously as we watched simon langenfelder number 27 back to adamo
21:25the 2023 champion
21:31and andemir adamo who was on top form this is first ever truly wet weather win last weekend in portugal
21:39and really starting to uh look as a potential world champion you would say still keeping the
21:48pressure on kai de wolf if um if either adamo or de wolf win the title this year they would
21:56basically um the out of mx2 in the following season the both have won a title already
22:02there is the 23 year old age rule after a rider turns 23 in that season that's the final year they
22:09can race in mx2 and that also applies to riders who have won a maximum of two world titles both
22:16these riders sitting on one mx title each dama of course in 2023 and the wolf last year by virtue of
22:23the number one on the back of his jersey and all the talk of course uh highly anticipated that kai de
22:31wolf would be moving to the mxgp class for 2026 he's already been seen quite a few times practicing on
22:40the husqvarna 450 very recently he was at the urgil practice track in holland just down the road from
22:46the legendary lyrop circuit just outside of eindhoven so very much on home territory there for kai de wolf
22:53originating from nearby valkans ward and he was tearing through the forests on the 450 husqvarna
23:00and certainly looking well acquitted to the uh to the big machine
23:05perhaps a bit like his fellow dutchman hurlings he would say in terms of the size and the
23:10strength of the rider would certainly be well suited to the bigger 450 cc machine but certainly
23:15showing that he has what it takes on the mx2 more than enough by being the reigning world champion
23:23oh and trouble for sasha koernan he's got it wrong in the rut that he stalled the machine maybe
23:30so adamo ahead of him and i think he stayed ahead of langenfelder yes he has so adamo now in the lead
23:38and sasha koernan after such a strong race is now playing fight back in second position so good news
23:44here for adamo look at this though the red bull ktms one two and three you can almost throw a blanket
23:50over the three of them they are that close
23:542.1 seconds
23:55they'll be looking on nervously at this stage six minutes plus two laps to go in the red bull ktm morning
24:04just by the pit box as adamo glances across so that means adamo would take another victory here if
24:11things stay as they are devolve second beniston and paul sasha koernan drops off the podium
24:17nx2 moto number two then sasha koernan just dropping down to second position so koernan
24:29was leading the way but a small mistake on that left-handed rut has dropped him
24:35only to second place but so close to the point standings here that it would drop him to fifth
24:39overall it's all still finely poised absolutely no margin for error and still keeping an eye on
24:44kyda wolf who's now clear of rekel zinger trying to close up on cam mcclellan
24:49we'd have a bit of work to do to catch up with evarts
24:52evarts himself 8.8 seconds down so at the moment this is really going the way of the red bull ktm
24:58team their riders in the top three simon langenfeld are still there in third
25:04around the right hand there he goes
25:07there we see again with sasha koernan
25:10who seemed to get it wrong on that rut on the previous lap as the battle hot's up between oh
25:17there we go down the inside there for kyda wolf on cam mcclellan so the triumph still there in sixth
25:23place but losing that position out to kyda wolf so de wolf now in sixth he is about five or six seconds
25:29behind liam evarts who's just going through the left-hander after the waves
25:32can mcclellan the south african still looking strong though having another good season on the triumph
25:43kyda wolf just starting to get into rhythm he just seemed changing his line they're going
25:46slightly more to the left missing out the worst of those acceleration bumps
25:50just watch the riders now with four and a half minutes to go in this moto plus the two laps
25:55we'll see if they may just start to change their lines on some of the rougher sections of the track
26:03of course the track very wet it's dried out so it means that those previously wet sections will
26:09get very hard pack and some very nasty square edge bumps as you would expect
26:15on some of the corners what you don't want to do is hit one of those wrong as it would just
26:19send the bike off to the side of the circuit potentially off the machine
26:25quite often the skill in these closing stages our grand prix moto is just looking at the smoother lines
26:30just trying to get a bit more pace really start to close in on the final stages but andrew adamo
26:37looking good at the moment for his second grand prix victory in succession he won at portugal
26:43it's okay solid if not uh spectacular fifth place in moto number one but you can see how
26:50closely the standings are at the moment that he now stands at the moment on top of the podium
26:54remember farucio zanky was ahead of him moto number one he dropped it earlier on but he's recovered to 10th place
27:01the wolf still only one point behind benistan evitz and koernan as you were
27:10so if the wolf gets past evitz he would be on 41 points but adamo would win by virtue of the better
27:16second moto
27:18it's the second moto that's the tiebreaker and at the moment it's sitting with adamo so de wolf would
27:23need to get into fourth position to guarantee the victory there's evitz behind benistan
27:32evitz yet again just starting to find some pace in the closing stages of the moto we've just got
27:38under three minutes plus the two laps remaining and liam evitz kai de wolf currently the fastest
27:43driver on the track though setting a 146.934 last time round which is the fastest lap of the race
27:50so kai de wolf in sixth place is really charging here he knows that the overall result is on the line
27:56here
27:59he'll be looking to try and gain some points from his rival still in that very close mx2 title race
28:03liam evitz still charging there's de wolf over the city jump down the hill into the left-hander
28:09and still circulating very quickly he's still the fastest rider on the track kai de wolf
28:16147.1 last time round
28:20quicker than even the race leader adama who's settling into a nice rhythm look at kai de wolf all
28:24action here he'll have been urged on when he goes past the pit wall to be told that
28:30the overall victory is still potentially within his grasp he needs to make up two more positions he's
28:34reeling in liam evitz so evitz still charging as well but kai de wolf is absolutely dropping the
28:43hammer now in the closing stages as sasha koernan nips down the inside of some of the tail enders
28:48andrew didamo looking strong at the front and there is koernan with langenfell the third
28:54oh and a bit of trouble there for sasha koernan that would have hurt he got a got the handlebar in the
29:01ribs will be protected by the um by the bar pad but that will still be a hefty hit
29:07just part of the the nature of a gnarly circle like this you were just getting such a
29:14hard workout from the bike oh we just saw at the back of the shot there de wolf
29:18and uh evitz benestan all running very closely indeed
29:22you can see the riders going through that right-hander where langenfell the crashed in the first moto
29:26there's a very nasty acceleration bump on the racing line and the riders just seem to be
29:32moving over to the left now onto some of the softer soil which has a bit more traction
29:37so whereas the bike would be kicking about on the bump previously they've got some nice soft soil to
29:42accelerate through as we go back to liam evitz oh nice move there down the inside squaring the turnoff
29:48finds that slightly smoother line and having a go
29:51and benestan again he seems switching the line down the inside some very technical racing there in the
29:57closing stages
30:03andriodano still charging away closing in on the final couple of laps in this mx2 moto
30:08we move back though to the nistan husqvarna team and kai de wolf is catching up on his teammate liam evitz
30:23evitz is also charging here but kai de wolf still the fastest rider on the track
30:28fastest lap of the race last time round 146.772 as kai de wolf knows oh down the inside he goes he knows the
30:35victory is in his hands here and that's benestan right in front of him look at him go oh kai de wolf
30:43absolutely charging here down the inside of the frenchman he goes and well he's like a bulldozer
30:49going through there he just had to get out of his way there kai de wolf i think that will check in a
30:55moment i believe that will put him as the grand prix winner as he moves up to fourth with a daring few
31:03corners there passing two riders almost in succession again you see that tricky little
31:09acceleration bump there the riders switching to the left that in turn will start to get whooped out
31:14as the final few laps go three laps to go here but what a ride here from kai de wolf
31:20goes from sixth to fourth in very quick succession fastest lap of the race last time
31:24around let's have a look at that move again down the inside of evitz he goes just throws the bike down
31:28the inside evitz has to give way and carries that momentum oh he was uh keeping his nerve there this
31:35is the rider who squeezed him out at the start of course they were benestan it was a racing incident but
31:40nonetheless it will have satisfied kai de wolf here to steam down the inside of him
31:44and retake the position 146.112 last time round for kai de wolf fastest lap of the race
31:52and he has stormed his way to the top of the podium in quite some style he's catching up now
31:57on matis valand the emx 250 champion making his injury comeback last weekend in portugal but he's not
32:04had quite such a strong weekend this time round valand was uh on the edge of the top two oh and that was
32:11a nervy moment there valand went to the outside oh that was a bit unfortunate for him he was trying to
32:18he knew the faster riders were coming he was looking to concede the line but kind of wolf second
32:23guest in there and also went to the outside was lucky not to get pushed off the circuit there
32:28the mattis valand who was 10th in moto number one but he's struggling at the moment he's down in 18th
32:32position the number three one seven two laps to go in mx2 moto number two let's have a look at that
32:39again so here's valand oh we go back to the ktms as uh koernan and langenfeld there going head to head
32:46here in the closing stages but uh mattis valand a few oh koernan hitting that kicker there just kicks the
32:53back end of the ktm sideways but he had it under control through the waves he goes
32:59that is valand last year's emx 250 champion on the factory mx2 kawasaki struggling at the moment in
33:04moto 2 in 18th as he continues his comeback from injury a rider that was tipped by some to be a dark
33:12horse for world title glory this year he was very strong in the opening pre-season internationals
33:18injury has set him back maybe next year he would say he can get himself fully fit he could be a real
33:23potential contender depending on how the world title goes this year of course like we touched on
33:29earlier in the moto either andy radamo or kaida wolf would not be racing in mx2 next year because of the
33:35two title rules so there'll be another leading contender moving on as well so it would all be very different in
33:412026. this is certainly a nervy final lap here just seems to be settling down though but andy radamo
33:51just needs to try and bring it home here sasha koernan looking to hang on to that second place and simon
33:56langenfelder recovering his weekend here someone with a solid third place he'll stay ahead of kaida wolf
34:02hello i'll say that the wolf is still charging it would really be a superhuman effort on the
34:08final half lap though but he has been absolutely charging the wolf should be the gp winner if things
34:14stay as they are but nonetheless a strong motor victory of andy radamo with sasha koernan still
34:20charging in second place just starting to close the gap on adamo as they make their way through the
34:24tail enders and i don't think sasha koernan's quite given this one up yet
34:28adamo makes a mistake then koernan would be right in there and the plucky young belgian is certainly
34:34not giving this one up at all here and he's running out of time but still charging it
34:39langenfelder watching in third but andy radamo looking to bring it home for a very important
34:45second motor victory there he goes he'll just miss out on the top step of the podium look at koernan at the end
34:50there's adamo taking the checkered flag and he's looking over his shoulder he congratulates his two
35:01teammates i think he may have thought he's won the overall oh he'll realize now because kaida wolf in
35:06fourth oh it takes the tear off of him frustration but nonetheless overlooks that to be the first to
35:13congratulate kaida wolf who with that brilliant series of laps successively setting the fastest lap of the
35:19of the race a dramatic double overtake on benistan and evarts to fight through to fourth place and
35:26getting the points he needs to take the spanish grand prix victory benistan fit evarts in sixth
35:35and oh sasha koernan he's still going at 200 miles an hour off the track they're punching the handlebars
35:41looks a bit frustrated with that one i think that little mistake on the rut he knows that there was a
35:44a race win that potentially went begging there but uh kaida wolf with a brilliant
35:52overall victory as he takes fourth and mcclellan rickholzinger in eighth ryzelis in ninth
35:58and perruccio zanki recovering into 10th position olivier lata maxim grow and julius mickeller
36:05tricky race for guillem phares who will finish in 15th from guantan pruniez david braseras who ran
36:16strongly at the start of the race on the jm honda looks like he's going to finish in 17th matis fallan
36:20who had that nervy moment almost got collected by kaida wolf but he was a lap down he'll get 18th from
36:26magda smith and samuel nielsen but andre damo winner of the second moto getting past his teammate
36:34sasha koernan in the closing stages narrowly missing out on the grand prix victory but a brilliant ride
36:39nonetheless from andre damo so sasha koernan will be ruining that mistake but nonetheless a strong second
36:47for him red bull ktm one two and three of course with lenin fellow taking third and kaida wolf the overall
36:52winner congratulations third overall victory but that second race you really had to work hard for
36:57that one um yeah it was a crazy one uh it was unreal um back when he like tomec will be uh doing beast mode
37:05i think that was this one uh pretty beast mode um so yeah amazing moto gave it everything and um
37:11pushed till the end so uh was an amazing second moto great job thanks guy so there's kaida wolf with
37:23the obligatory sip of the energy drink in deference to his sponsors taking a brilliant second race there
37:32he fought his way through he's almost in last place remember on the first corner and then a real you
37:38would say a champion's right there that we had to fight back so hard on those closing laps to get
37:43past everts and benestans but kaida wolf taking the spanish grand prix victory we'll have a look at
37:50the results in a few moments time andre damo of course winning the second moto of the day from sasha
37:56koernan simon langenfelder in third it was a red bull ktm one two and three in moto number two they'll
38:04be delighted with that one of course ktm's filling out the podium kaida wolf in fourth position they
38:10were benestan in fifth liam evitz in sixth cam mcclellan and rick elzingo those four or five
38:15riders they're having a really close battle in the top ten as the second part of the moto went on
38:21to andre damo pouncing on the mistake from sasha koernan to snatch the victory rest of the top ten made up
38:28carlos rizalas and ferruccio zanke recovering from an early fall at the a in 11th place latter in 12
38:34maxingro julius mickeler on the tm in 14th guillaume faras on the triumph in 15th and it was quantum
38:39prunier braseras matis fallon magna smith and samuel nielsen the spanish rider on the triumph with the
38:47final world championship points so the diggers and the power harrows straight onto the circuit to get it
38:53prep for mxgp will be out very shortly but we will have a look at how the overall stand out and like
38:59we said kai de wolf with that dramatic double pass getting the points he needed that fourth place
39:04giving him 43 points from adamo in second and sasha koernan he'll be disappointed with that mistake but
39:09nonetheless second place gets him onto the podium tied on points with evitz but the better second moto
39:15score is the tiebreaker evitz fourth one point ahead of benestan it was so close between those riders
39:21looking a little bit further down guillaume faras and oriole olivier for the home crowd just outside
39:28of the top ten and we cast our attention of course to the championship which stays as you were but
39:37kind of off just moving a little bit further ahead 15 points the gap from simon leggenfelder and
39:42adamo that second moto win very important indeed and liam evitz getting his championship
39:48aspirations back on track with fourth overall from benestan kunin still a strong sixth position
39:55looking a little bit further down one or two changes in the top ten casval drops a position
40:00and olivier getting past david braseras in the battle of the spaniards on the edge of the top 15
40:07julius michela grabbing a few more points and maxime grew just nipping past
40:11nicolas venekans just on the edge of the top 20 in the grand prix standings but the mx2 title race as close
40:16as ever not only in the riders but in the manufacturers classifications ktm narrowly leading
40:22from husqvarna yamaha in third triumph fourth then it's honda tm and kawasaki with matis valon of course
40:29back in action they'll be looking to try and grab some more points in the second half of the season
40:34but yet again sasha kernan not for the first time this year he would say the lightning reactions
40:43and start technique of the young belgian means that he grabs the fox hole shot award second in moto number
40:48one for an absolute lightning start and he still tops the charts five hole shots this year from adamo and evitz
40:57so before the mxgp gets underway for their second moto we move of course to the podium presentations
41:11for mx2 and the spanish grand prix netherlands italy and belgium and two belgians tied on points for third
41:22overall but it was the rider who finished second sasha kernan looked a bit disappointed to miss out
41:29on the victory but he can take heart he would say it was a good strong performance from him
41:35hung on to that second place and gets himself onto the podium second moto winner of the year i don't
41:40think we'll be too far away for him andrew adamo another rider a little bit disappointed he would
41:46say to miss out on the overall but the happiest man today is kyder wolf he had to work hard for that one
41:54almost in last place on the first corner fighting through to fourth place with some brilliant laps
41:58to snatch those points he needed to stay on top of the podium and of course extend his points gap
42:03ever so slightly in the incredibly close mx2 title race missed on husqvarna the winning team
42:13husqvarna the winning manufacturer as well this weekend
42:20and albera the local dignitaries there presenting the third place trophy to sasha kernan
42:31this historic part of spain in galicia sports councillor julge bustos
42:37presenting the second place award to andrew adamo and of course to the winner of the spoils
42:52kyder wolf taking the first overall trophy from the unter di glacia councillor diego calvo
