00:06Your social media seemed to raise some expectations about that meeting.

00:11You're in the SUV.
00:12You're outside the White House.
00:13You're going to deliver for the people of New York.
00:16And then the president says you spoke about next to nothing.
00:21And what I'm wondering is, shouldn't you have gotten something tangible out of that meeting?
00:29How many times Governor Hochul went up there?
00:34Did she get anything tangible out of it?
00:39No.
00:41You go to meetings to give your thoughts and how you want to resolve stuff.
00:50And it takes time.
00:51How many times I went to Albany to get the involuntary removal?
00:54I walked out of Albany year after year getting nothing.
00:57How many times I went to Albany around that issue and voluntarily remove?
01:01How many times I went to Albany to speak with the leaders about reform in our criminal justice

01:06I would leave there with nothing.
01:08Had to go back again, go back again.
01:10This is how this process is, folks.
01:12And so, my conversation was to deal with the Empire Wind issue, the CHIP plant I would like
01:18to see up in the Bronx, and advocating for New Yorkers.
01:23And do you get it in your first meeting sometimes?
01:25No, you don't.
01:26You have to sometimes do phone calls.
01:28You have to sometimes meet at events and shake hands and chat.
01:32This is how this is done.
01:33And I'm sure if you were to talk to Governor Hochul, I'm sure if you would talk to the
01:37leaders up in Albany, how many times I went up there and walked out and said, no, Eric,
01:41we're not going to do this.
01:42And then I'll come back again and eventually just say, yes, we can.
01:46What I must do is try.
01:48And I'm going to continue to try.
01:50And that's what I have done on behalf of New Yorkers.
