00:00I mean, when we look back to the 2017 visit by President Trump to Saudi Arabia,

00:06I'm just wondering to what extent you think the balance of power in the region has shifted during the course of these last eight years?

00:14Well, it shifted, I guess, in a number of ways.

00:18First of all, what's occurred between Israel, Iran, and what Iran called the axes of resistance?

00:26You know, that's obviously in the south, the Houthis, Hamas, it included having Syria,

00:33it included Hezbollah in Lebanon and Shia militias in Iraq.

00:38Well, the Hezbollah leadership has certainly been neutralized, so Hezbollah is not a big factor right now.

00:44Their leadership is in disarray.

00:47Hamas is kind of surrounded in Gaza and is not a big factor.

00:52Iran, you know, attacked Israel, Israel attacked Iran with missiles.

00:59Iran's air defenses must be rebuilt.

01:02Iran isn't doing very well right now.

01:04And the Houthis, after a thousand U.S. strikes in Yemen, the Houthis have asked for the bombing to stop.

01:15So, really, it is a good position for an American president to be in, in visiting the Middle East right now.
