More at http://www.theuptake.org President Obama asked Congress to return to a "Pay as you go" principle for the budget. Simply put, if a dollar more is spent, a dollar must be saved elsewhere. Congress tried to pass this two years ago when Obama was in the Senate. But President Bush opposed it. He told congressional leaders today that if they passed PAYGO, he would have no problem signing it.
