00:00I don't know if a lot of you know this, but last, yesterday, five years to the day, Paul
00:12Heyman took over as Booker of ECW.
00:19Good evening and welcome to Extreme Championship Wrestling.
00:22I'm Joey Stiles at the infamous ECW Arena in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where Tommy
00:28Dreamer is discussing with the fans, the Sandman's departure from ECW.
00:35He took it from the late, great Eddie Gilbert, and he did a hell of a job here.
00:40Thomas Edward Gilbert Jr., professionally known as Hot Stuff Eddie Gilbert, was producer
00:46and talent coordinator for ECW, then Eastern Championship Wrestling, for approximately
00:52five months back in 1993.
00:54And everything was funded by Todd Gordon, and he deserves the respect, because he started
01:02a lot of this with his own personal money.
01:04Todd Gordon was the founder of Eastern Championship Wrestling.
01:07It followed the demise of the Tri-State Wrestling promotion.
01:10When I first came here, there were no bleachers.
01:13There was about four chairs.
01:14And each and every time we came back here, you people told a friend, and we built something
01:20here that was started, and now we're going to the top.
01:27Tommy Dreamer debuted in ECW on October 1st, 1993, and has been with the company ever since.
01:34He epitomizes a team player.
01:37Oddly enough, his debut matchup was against, of all people, Taz.
01:40And we are recording this historic ECW moment as it happens live to videotape here in Philadelphia,
01:48Pennsylvania.
01:49Full of guys, past and present, who each and every time, it doesn't matter if it was in
01:56the gym forums or on a pay-per-view, we bust our ass for you people every single time ECW
02:04is somewhere in the United States.
02:12And a lot of us, we might have our egos, this, that, and the other thing.
02:17But let me tell you something.
02:18A guy like Shane Douglas is coming back tonight.
02:21He shouldn't be in the ring, but he wants to give it 100% because you people paid your
02:26money to come out here.
02:30Last time at the ECW arena, Bam Bam Bigelow, his mom was sick.
02:35He got a concussion.
02:37He still came out here and busted his ass for you people.
02:45Rob Van Dam, last two shows, almost lost his damn eye going through a table.
02:51And you know what?
02:53He still went out and he's probably one of the best damn wrestlers in the world today.
03:05And before RVD was doing all this stuff, there was a guy named Sabu who dove into the barbed
03:12wire and moonsaulted into you people.
03:14And he is put on 100% every single night.
03:21And you see, that's what ECW is all about.
03:27You get in the ring, hurt, you do what you have to do, you get paid, but as long as each
03:33and every one of you saw the best damn show, then we're all the best.
03:36As was reported on ECWwrestling.com, James Fullington, professionally known as the Sandman,
03:42opted to sign with World Championship Wrestling when his ECW contract expired after Heat Wave 98.
03:49For five years, he came out here and you applauded his entrance, he gave you his body, he got
03:56his ass kicked, and he truly was the founder of ECW.
04:02And I want to give him the sendoff that he truly deserves.
04:09The Sandman is a former three-time ECW World Heavyweight Champion, a feat equaled only by that of the franchise, Shane Douglas.
04:14The Sandman is a former three-time ECW World Heavyweight Champion, a feat equaled only by that of the franchise, Shane Douglas.
04:22The current World Heavyweight Champion.
04:29Each and every one of you people keep supporting this product.
04:31It doesn't matter if Tommy Dreamer leaves, anybody leaves.
04:34As long as ECW has a card, you will guarantee you will win the card.
04:37And I want to give you the card.
04:39The Sandman is a former three-time ECW World Heavyweight Champion, a feat equaled only by that of the franchise, Shane Douglas.
04:41Every one of you people keep supporting this product.
04:44It doesn't matter if Tommy Dreamer leaves, anybody leaves.
04:48As long as ECW has a card, you will guarantee that you get your money's worth when you see us wrestling.
04:56So, Sandman, I want to thank you for every single thing you ever did, and put in your body, and bleeding, and
05:11being a drunk, and being one of the best damn friends I ever had.
05:18So, I'm doing this the way I know Sam Edwards wanted.
05:23Pat, baby, I'm going to miss you.
05:26Let's raise him up.
05:27Sandman, God bless you.
05:30This one is for you.

06:00I never put you in the books, Tommy Dreamer, as a kiss-ass, but after that horror-worming speech, you're in Jack Victory's book as nothing but a kiss-ass.
06:19Tommy Dreamer, I've been out of this business for eight years.
06:26And before I left this business, I went through bombware and cage matches.
06:35I smashed through the f***ing table.
06:38And when I walked out of this f***ing damn business, Tommy Dreamer, nobody gave me a heart-worming, piss-ass speech like you just put on.
06:47Because you weren't f***ing.
06:56Shut the f*** up.
07:00You want to make this into a f***ing angle?
07:03You want to make this into a f***ing...
07:06Yeah, you know what?
07:08I'll show you what the f***ing damn man would do.
07:15It's Ron Price!
07:17Ron Price is in the ring!
07:18Ron Price is attacking Tommy Dreamer!
07:22Ron Price was waiting!
07:24Ron Price was waiting!
07:26He was right behind Jack Victory!
07:29Tommy Dreamer...
07:32What?
07:41I...
07:42I thought he was good.
07:44Just incredible!
07:46It's just incredible with the Singapore King!
07:49Oh my god!
08:00Dreamer is bleeding from above his left...
08:03Above his left eye!
08:05F***ing...
08:06F***ing...
08:07F***ing...
08:08Well, thank God!
08:24Wrestlers are now coming from the locker room to help Tommy Dreamer!
08:29Ron Price and Jack Victory are meeting them in the aisle!
08:33In the meantime, just incredible!
08:38Is cating Tommy Dreamer into a bloody pump!
08:43The last man to confront the Sandman before he left ECW...
08:58Who was this 24-year-old puke just incredible!
09:03And now he's taken out his aggressions on the Sandman's tag team partner, Tommy Dreamer!
09:10You're the icon!
09:10You're the icon!
09:11You're the icon!
09:15You're a disgrace!
09:18I'm the icon!
09:23I'm the icon!
09:28Icon, you're a disgrace.
09:58Tommy Dreamer simply wanted to give a proper send off to his former tag team partner who we all wish nothing but the best for. Damn, that just incredible. Victory and price. Tommy Dreamer has been taken to the locker room. Obviously, we'll need some medical attention.
10:21He's laying in a puddle of his own blood. We are now rolling the open of the program for identification. Station managers and technicians, please be apprised that at the end of the open, we are going to a commercial break, which we do not normally do that.
10:41We normally start to show that we are going to a commercial break at the end of this open. We are recording a historic ECW moment, live to videotape that has turned historic for all the wrong reasons.
10:56And I, I, I don't know what to say. Station managers, technicians, again, stand by. We are going to a commercial break in five, four, three, two, one.
11:15I promised you before, whenever we had trouble with television here, that you would never miss an episode of ECW TV.
11:26Therefore, on your way out the door tonight, to no expense to anybody in this building, even you, Andre.
11:40At no expense to anybody in this building, everybody that walks out the door tonight will be handed a tape at our expense of all three hours.

12:26This is nothing new for Justin Credible, who debuted here in ECW a year ago this week when he was introduced by Jason at the ECW Arena.
12:39Justin's rise to stardom began as Justin Credible scored a pinfall victory over the great Sasuke in Queens, New York City.
12:49But then the vicious streak of Justin Credible reared its ugly head on December 13th in Buffalo, New York, as he snapped the leg of Mikey Whitwreck.
13:03The sadism continued as he then broke the leg of Sasuke at the ECW Arena.
13:12Japanese legend Gran Hamada was next to fall victim to the 24-year-old upstart.
13:19Still looking to grab headlines, Justin Credible interrupted a sacred and solemn 10-bell salute to Tommy Dreamer's deceased grandfather.
13:33He beat Jerry Lynn in the finals of the Summer Series at the HeatWave 98 Pay-Per-View.
13:40And then scored an upset pinfall over the Sandman at the ECW Arena.
13:56Proving his victory was no fluke, Justin Credible proceeded to cane the Sandman with his own Singapore cane at the arena.
14:13But earlier tonight, Justin Credible sunk to an all-time low.
14:23Interrupting Tommy Dreamer's proper send-off to his tag-team partner, the Sandman.
14:30Sending out his mercenaries, Jack Victory and Rod Price to soften up Tommy Dreamer so he could then attack him and cane him to a bloody mess.
14:43Sending out his Исzer
