00:00With her documents in hand, Yali Molero implores officers for help as immigrants are bused out of Nashville.
00:12I don't know anything about him, Yali says.
00:16On Sunday around 5 a.m., she discovered her husband, Leogine Romero, was missing.
00:21It wasn't until she saw a social media post about ICE activity that she saw him being arrested.
00:30My husband is not a bad person, says Yali.
00:33She says he was stopped after leaving his 12-hour shift at Walmart around 1 a.m.
00:38Yali says he was carrying a valid temporary license with him.
00:43She describes feeling anguish and despair, trying to find out if he's okay.
00:50Fleeing political persecution in Venezuela, Yali and Leogine arrived in the U.S. nine months ago through the CBP1 app,
00:58a Biden-era program for migrants to illegally be in the U.S. for two years.
01:04After the Trump administration announced it was ending the program, they hired a lawyer to help with their asylum case.
01:12She shows me her husband's work permit and his asylum paperwork, showing his court date in March of 2027, to plead their case.
01:24We're doing everything right to have a better life and help our families in Venezuela, says Yali.
01:31Her biggest fear is Leogine being deported to El Salvador.
01:35She asked the government to send him back to his country of origin.
01:40Yali says he's not a criminal.
01:43And it hurts that immigrants are being stereotyped.
01:46She plans to sell their car in hopes of hiring an attorney, as Yali explores every possible avenue to help her husband.
01:57She says God is watching what is happening, and he knows who they truly are.
02:02She says God is missing.
02:18She says God is missing.
02:19I live a company of other countries who are oğlum cases in Venezuela.
02:25She says God is missing.
02:27She says God is missing.
02:27Not tomorrow is standing.
02:28That is other has yet.
02:28It's a Resistance.
02:28She says God is missing.
02:29Amen.
02:29Amen.
02:30Amen.
02:30Perfect.
02:31I live the author.
