00:00The main storyline, of course, entering game two and maybe for the rest of this series
00:04for Golden State, the absence of Steph Curry.
00:07A grade one left hamstring strain for Curry.
00:10He is out for at least a week.
00:12He is out through at least game four of this second round set to be re-evaluated in about
00:18seven days from now.
00:20And the odds makers are anticipating that to be a large gap to fill for the Doves.
00:25A 10.5 point spread now in favor of the Timberwolves.
00:29The over-under, 2-0-1 and a hook.
00:32DRS, it's rather simple.
00:34How do the Warriors look tonight in game number two without the chef?
00:37And I'm going to tell you, we don't know how they're going to look.
00:38Not even Steve Kerr understands how they're going to look because, again, you saw the
00:42post-game press conference after game number one where Steve Kerr was like, yeah, we won
00:46this basketball game.
00:47Boy, these guys are tired.
00:48We're not going to have Steph.
00:49We've got to watch some film, give these guys a day break, and then we'll come back at it.
00:53He's a pretty good coach, man.
00:54He's got a pedigree out there.
00:55He's played in the NBA.
00:56He's won a couple championships.
00:57They're not going to fold up because that's what the Golden State Warriors, they know
01:00that deep down, they can win games like this.
01:02They weren't supposed to win game number seven.
01:04They won game number seven.
01:05They weren't supposed to win game number one in round number two, and their best player
01:09got injured, and they still won that.
01:10I'm expecting maximum effort out of the Golden State Warriors.
01:12But at the same time, things are going to have to look different.
01:15As we started off the show, like, who is going to surprise you for this team?
01:18Well, Jimmy Bubba's not going to surprise me.
01:20He better be the player that shoots 20-plus times in this game, has 25-plus points here
01:24with a lot of rebate, chance for a double-double, maybe even a triple-double, just to keep
01:28them involved.
01:29Because coming into the series, the overwhelming favorite was Minnesota, and for good reason.
01:33They're a better basketball team.
01:34Now you look at a team that stole game number one, now doesn't have their best player.
01:37There should be blood in the water tonight for those Minnesota Timberwolves.
01:40But for me, looking at that 10.5-point spread, it's not something I want to jump into,
01:44but what would be the surprising things?
01:46It's like, okay, the game ended up 98-91, and it was a win for the Timberwolves.
01:50You can walk away as the Timberwolves be like, you know what?
01:52Job done here.
01:531-1.
01:54Let's go back and sort of push it in once we get back into San Francisco.
01:57But at the same time, I look at the opposite side and say, well, what are we going to get
02:01out of the Golden State Warriors?
02:02Like, what's the M.O. tonight?
02:03Is it, oh, lost cause, let's rest up and get ready for game number three.
02:06That'll be your best shot to take a lead in this series.
02:08Or is it house money?
02:10Let's go out there and play.
02:11Let's fire up three-point shots.
02:12Let's get some tempo.
02:13Play good basketball.
02:14And you know the pressure is not on the Warriors, Ben.
02:16It's on the Minnesota Timberwolves.
02:18So how does that factor in?
02:19I don't like a side in this game.
02:21I do like a total, but I can see it both ways.
02:24If you're a question, do we know how they're going to come out?
02:26I don't know.
02:27I don't think they know.
