00:12The decision was made following a joint committee meeting between the Home Ministry and the

00:20Saifuddin said the meeting endorsed the Immigration Department's proposal to tighten the management
00:25of the checkout memo process for foreign workers.
00:29He said with Thursday's decision, employers must be present at international exit points
00:35to oversee the departure registration of foreign workers, just as they are required during
00:40their entry process.
00:42Saifuddin warned that any failure or negligence on the part of employers could result in restrictions
00:49on new quota applications and other immigration-related services.
00:53The meeting also approved a policy allowing intersectoral transfers, enabling employers
00:59to apply for foreign workers to move between different employment sectors.
