00:09This is the second time that I've ever been on the cover of Rolling Stone

00:11and the first time was in the beginning of 2009.

00:15It was just such a crazy experience for me because

00:17that's what you hope for your whole life if you want to be a musician.

00:22You know the cover of Rolling Stone

00:23and to be offered it for the second time now.

00:26It's amazing,

00:28I'm having sort of like a dream week

00:32On this album I really wanted to experiment with my sound

00:36and with you know the amount of colors I can paint with

00:41Each song is so different from every other song

00:44that it's a really exciting experience to listen to the album from top to bottom

00:49and hear all the different kind of levels of expanding and experimentation that went into it

00:58Having the new single break so many records in its first couple of weeks has been mind-blowing

01:05and honestly to me shocking because I've never experienced this kind of blast off of a single

01:12Having everything from you know the number one for two weeks on the Hot 100 to MTV embracing it

01:21to you know everyone from pop stations to country stations to international stations playing it

01:27I'm having such a wonderful month I'm telling you right now

01:30it's just it's amazing what the fans have done for this song

01:38I have so many goals for next year and I think one of them is putting together a tour that's

01:43that kind of you know not trying to surpass or top what we did with the last tour

01:47but trying to make something that stands on its own and is equally as entertaining for people

01:51and I also I'm just really excited about being on the cover of Rolling Stone again
