Preparations for the papal conclave in Vatican City are nearly complete, with the Sistine Chapel being readied for the 133 cardinal electors who will gather on May 7 to choose the next pope. teleSUR

00:00The Vatican authorities are finalizing preparations for the celebration of the conclave in the Sistine Chapel

00:05where 133 cardinals will gather to elect the new pontiff on May 7th.

00:11The Holy See has announced that two bonfires and a chimney have been set up to the site

00:16to emit the white smoke that signals the appointment of the successor of the late Pope Francis.

00:23Until an agreement is reached, the black smoke will continue to be emitted.

00:27The test will consist on four daily votes, two in the morning and two in the afternoon.

00:34If necessary, a direct and obligatory second ballot will be held between the two cardinals
