00:00What does it mean for you to be here?
00:03Good morning everyone.
00:05We are so glad to be here as a representative of Ukraine
00:10to take part of this parade
00:14to celebrate 80th anniversary victory in Europe.
00:18So, thank you for that.
00:20And what does it mean to you, can I ask,
00:22to be involved with British and some NATO troops today
00:26at a time when obviously your country is under such threat?
00:31We would like also to thank all our partners for their support
00:35and to be part of the free world,
00:38fighting against evil that came to our land once more.
00:44You've been rehearsing with the British Armed Forces since Thursday, haven't you?
00:49Yeah.
00:50What have those rehearsals been like?
00:52It wasn't enough time for us to prepare for this perfectly,
00:57but we spent a few last days with British and other NATO allies of practicing.
01:09Also, the main one was during the night in London.
01:13It was really impressive.
01:15especially when the band started to play the music in the middle of night
01:21and maybe a walk some people.
01:24But yeah, it's just because to do it perfectly today.
01:30Do you feel a sense of support from the British people being involved in something like that?
01:36Yeah, that's for sure.
01:37That's for sure.
01:38Every we met, they always supported us.
01:40They shake our hands and wish to win our nation.
01:45I was going to say, what do you think it will mean to your colleagues back at home,
01:50who will be hopefully aware that you're taking part in this?
01:55Yeah, I suppose they're going to be proud of us because we're always happy to see Ukraine representatives somewhere take part,
02:10especially in such a great event here in London, in central London.
02:15And the two countries have always had a very close bond, haven't they?
02:19If we look back to the Second World War, we fought on the same side then,
02:23and now we're here celebrating and commemorating 80 years later.
02:28And we're expecting to celebrate our own Victory Day as soon as it's possible.
02:34Well, hopefully we can be involved in that at some point as well.
02:38Gentlemen, it's a real honour. Thank you very much indeed.
02:41And I hope it goes well for you today.
02:43Thank you very much indeed, and I hope it goes well for you today.
02:44Thank you very much indeed, and I hope it goes well for you today.
