00:00This weekend, Cancer Terrorism Policing, supported by policing colleagues from across the country,
00:05have conducted arrests in two really significant operations,
00:10both of which have been designed to keep the public safe from threats.
00:13One of those operations is a plot, a terrorist plot, for an attack against a specific premises,
00:21and the other of those operations is a national security arrest.
00:25So the investigations are in their early stages, as I'm sure you can imagine.
00:28We will continue to work tirelessly.
00:31There are several hundred officers and staff working on this investigation,
00:35and we'll work very hard to ensure we understand the threats to the wider public.
00:40And of course, I would ask the public to avoid speculation and some of the things that are being posted online.
00:46If there's information that is needed to keep the public safe,
00:50you will hear it from Cancer Terrorism Policing, and we will give you the factual information available.
00:54We will work very hard, as we have done this weekend,
00:57to ensure that we're keeping the public safe from any of these threats.
01:00Clearly, we have taken steps today because we felt like there was a risk to the public.
01:06And so our action is to keep the public safe.
01:09We will continue to do that, and we do need to make sure that we're conducting assessments
01:13about any enduring threat to the public.
01:15We will continue to do that, and we will continue to do that, and we will continue to do that.
