Elephant beat the heat by chilling in swimming pool in Rameswaram Temple premises

Rameswaram (Tamil Nadu), May 03, 2025 (ANI): The effects of summer heat have been increasing from the past few days in Tamil Nadu. The Indian Meteorological Department has reported higher temperatures than normal for upcoming days. The people are suffering a lot. People are visiting Ooty and Kodaikanal to escape from the effects of the sun. Not only people but also animals are affected by the effects of the sun. During this heat, an elephant named Ramalakshmi in Ramanathaswamy Temple at Rameswaram was seen bathing in the swimming pool on May 03. The temple administration arranged swimming pool within the temple complex to cool down the 22-year-old Ramalakshmi.
