00:00You've been a Greens candidate before. Why are you wearing a Labour shirt today?

00:04Because it's so important that the Dutton opposition does not become a Dutton government.

00:11I think it's so important that the Albanese government is allowed to finish the job of rebuilding Medicare,

00:16of making sure that tax is fair and that tax is not being set to help the rich,

00:23that tax is equitable and deals with the policy changes we need to make to ensure that people can afford the cost of living.

00:32I have the greatest respect for the Greens and their policies and their fight for the environment

00:37and for asylum seekers over the last 20 plus years.

00:41I am standing and supporting the Labour government, specifically in the electorate of Calair,

00:48because I do believe the Albanese government has made a big start to making Australia better

00:54and healing the damage of the coalition government under Morrison.

01:00I stand for a rebuilt Medicare.

01:03I'm so behind the Albanese government's $8 billion being channelled back into Medicare

01:08to make going to the doctor cheaper and affordable.

01:13So that's why I've made the very difficult decision to hand out for the Labour Party this election,

01:19even though I've always been a supporter of Greens policies around environment, fairness and asylum seekers.

01:25But I think we need a Labour government so that any social changes that need to be made

01:30or social improvements or social supports can be made.

01:34I don't think they can be made under a coalition government ever.
