00:00Good evening. Welcome to Impact Wrestling. I'm Josh Matthews and we begin the night with some
00:07disturbing news. Recently in Toronto, my broadcast colleague Don Callis was to receive a Comeback
00:14of the Year award as presented by Anthony Corelli. It's been a very busy year for Don. He was away
00:19from wrestling for 12 years. He returned a year ago. He's working with New Japan Pro Wrestling.
00:23He's on the Impact executive team. He also was the architect behind Jericho vs. Omega at Wrestle
00:31Kingdom 12. Again, a busy year for Don. And this award, this presentation was ruined. It was thwarted.
00:39It was on Don's personal time. His family was there and Sammy Callahan decided to attack. And why did
00:46Sammy Callahan attack and assault Don Callis? Well, it's because of what happened in New Orleans. It's
00:51because of what happened at WrestleCon when the towel was thrown in in the I Quit match between
00:57Sammy and Eddie Edwards. Sammy had Eddie right where he wanted him. He was going to end the
01:02man's career once and for all. The vile and disgusting Sammy Callahan had the chair. He had
01:07his baseball bat and the towel was thrown in by Don on behalf of Impact Wrestling, perhaps saving the
01:12career of Eddie Edwards. The plan of Sammy Callahan was foiled in New Orleans. And after what transpired,
01:21Sammy Callahan had some very pointed comments.
01:24You robbed me, Don. You robbed me of the one moment that I should have had. I could have ended Eddie Edwards once and for all at WrestleCon. And what'd you have to do? You had to come out, stick your nose into my business, throw in the towel and end the match.
01:41Things don't work like that, Booker Man. Look me in the eyes. Look me in the eyes and tell me I'm not being dead serious. I don't care who you are. I don't care if you pay my bills. I am going to make an example out of you. You're gonna pay, Booker Man.
01:58Sammy Callahan didn't stop after New Orleans. Sammy Callahan ramped up his threats to impact senior management and Don Callis on social media. In what appears to be a premeditated attack, Sammy Callahan went to Toronto and assaulted and attacked Don Callis.
02:17We're going to take you now to Toronto. But ladies and gentlemen, we warn you, this footage is graphic in nature.
02:25This gentleman has been in the business for almost 30 years and he is a part of what's happening right now. And I'm going to call out Mr. Don Callis.
02:35On behalf of Destiny Wrestling, it's my honor to present this award.
02:44It's great to be here. As many of you know, I recently took a position as executive vice president of Impact Wrestling and I've been very lucky to work with the executive team that has turned Impact into quite possibly the hottest wrestling promotion around.
03:04Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, Booker Man, you're out here just speaking. Bullshit!
03:29That's enough!
03:31Come on, Sammy.
03:33I don't feel sorry. You want to call me unsafe, Don?
03:45I don't care because I am professional wrestling, because I am Impact Wrestling, and because I am taking over everything.
03:56Due to the brutal assault that took place in Toronto, right now, senior management of Impact Wrestling are in a meeting to determine the future of Sammy Callaghan.
04:06We had hoped to bring you this update at the very beginning of the show. However, the meeting is still ongoing.
04:11We have a camera watching the room, and as soon as they make a decision, we will interrupt whatever's happening on Impact to let you know what that decision is.
04:21One thing is perfectly clear. Sammy Callaghan needs to be very concerned about his future in Impact Wrestling.
04:27We'll be right to go.
04:33All right.
04:37Tim.
