00:00This was a historic win and an unexpected comeback. Explain why.

00:05Well, I mean, Pierre Poiliev's Conservatives collapsed.

00:11You said that Liberals were expecting collapse, and that's what happened.

00:15Pierre Poiliev's Conservatives had a 25-point lead going into the election campaign.

00:21They were coasting on grievance, on hatred of Trudeau,

00:25on really exhaustion with almost 10 years of Liberal Party leadership.

00:30But Mark Carney and the Liberals were just too much to handle for them.

00:34His record as governor of the Bank of Canada through the 2008 financial crisis,

00:41his governor of the Bank of England through Brexit,

00:44it left Canadians really wondering what the Conservatives were offering them.

00:50But more so than all of that, Canadians were offended and confused,

00:53and we very much felt this feeling of unity and this new wave of solidarity.

00:59And almost nationalism among my fellow Canadians.

01:03And Mark Carney and the Liberals took advantage.
