According to Semi Program head Dan Priestley, Tesla expects the first units of its Semi truck to enter production by the end of 2025. Reuters reported that Tesla’s Giga Nevada facility can produce 50,000 units annually and plans to ramp up production through 2026. The company’s Semi production plans were previously disrupted by U.S. President Donald Trump's tariffs on China, making it unfeasible for Tesla to absorb import costs. Tesla has committed to delivering more semi-trucks to PepsiCo after delivering over 50 electric semi-trucks last year.
