00:00So Helen, we're here in Smackwater Jacks in Burnley, one of the town's most iconic bars.

00:07You're running the bar with your daughter Ella, can you tell me how it's going?

00:12It's going really well, yeah. I took over probably about, well, 18 months ago now,

00:19so more or less full time. I'm more behind the scenes, Ella's in front of the house,

00:24she's the one who's seen when we're open, it's her face that's seen more than my own.

00:29But things are going really well, going from strength to strength,

00:34and I'm loving the fact that we're getting busier and busier.

00:39It would be good if people came out a bit sooner, a bit earlier, it would be nice.

00:44We would like that, but no, everything's going really well.

00:48Yeah, we're really enjoying taking over from Meddai, and then we're waking at night,

00:54getting to know all the Burnley's people and being the face that everyone thinks of

00:59when they come to Smacks is really good. The customers are amazing.

01:05Yeah, we've got a really fantastic team behind us as well, who've really helped us.

01:09And everybody else in the area, all the other bar owners have been really helpful as well.
