This is the moment a quick-thinking dad used his parental instincts to save his daughter from a nasty fall.

CCTV from inside a home in Liaoning, China, shows the tense moment a toddler lost her balance and started falling from the sofa headfirst.

But her dad’s parental instincts kicked in just in time - he lunged across the sofa and caught her by her vest just inches from the ground.

He was able to quickly pull her to safety on the sofa, where she burst into tears but was luckily unharmed.
