00:41Let's start with money, the backbone of military might.
00:45Russia's annual military budget, it's estimated to be well over $65 billion,
00:51though some unofficial sources suggest it could be closer to $100 billion
00:56when hidden expenditures are considered.
00:59Now compare that to the combined budget of the Five Eyes Alliance.
01:03A staggering $1 trillion plus.
01:07And here's the real kicker.
01:09The United States alone contributes more than $800 billion,
01:13making up the overwhelming bulk of that total.
01:16You can get an idea from this just how far ahead the Five Eyes Alliance is compared to Russia.
01:22The story isn't over yet.
01:24According to the Global Power Index Ratio,
01:27Russia ranks second in the world with a Power Index score of 0.788,
01:33while the USA holds the top position with a score of 0.744.
01:39The UK, Australia, Canada, and New Zealand rank 6th, 18th, 28th, and 86th.
01:46Despite varied rankings, the Five Eyes remain dominant due to the USA's top position.
01:53In terms of manpower, Russia has increased its active personnel to over 1 million
01:58since the conflict with Ukraine began and maintains around 2 million reserve personnel,
02:04according to Al Jazeera.
02:06On the other hand, the USA has approximately 1.3 million active personnel
02:10and around 765,700 in reserve.
02:14The UK has 180,779 active personnel and 31,967 in reserve.
02:23Canada has 68,000 active and 27,000 reserve personnel.
02:28Australia has over 60,000 active and more than 20,000 reserve personnel,
02:33while New Zealand has over 10,037 active personnel and 3,281 in reserve.
02:39So, the total active military personnel of the Five Eyes Alliance exceeds 1.6 million,
02:46while the reserve military personnel add up to over 847k.
02:50You can clearly see 1.3 million versus 1.6 million in active forces
02:55and 2 million versus 847k in reserves.
02:59This shows that while Russia legs behind in active personnel,
03:04it is far ahead of all five alliance members combined in terms of reserve strength.
03:09So, it's definitely a tough competition.
03:12The Air Force plays a crucial role, especially for the USA,
03:16as its rivals don't share borders with it.
03:19Russia has 4,180-plus aircraft, including 770-plus fighter jets and 537 attack helicopters.
03:27The USA leads with 13,000-plus aircraft, 1,900-plus fighter jets and 980-plus attack helicopters.
03:35The U.S. also has the B-2 stealth bomber, capable of carrying 16 nukes,
03:41while Russia has the 2-160.
03:43Though 2-160 is faster, the B-2 is stealthier.
03:46And when it comes to fifth-generation fighter jets,
03:49Russia has the Su-75.
03:51The USA has the F-35.
03:53Other Five Eyes members, UK, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand,
03:58add more strength, with hundreds of aircraft combined.
04:02Having foreign military bases offers strategic advantages,
04:05enabling quick deployment and regional dominance.
04:08The USA and UK have bases in countries near Russia,
04:11like Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, and Georgia.
04:15In contrast, Russia has no bases near any Five Eyes nation.
04:21The USA is the only country in the world that has the most military bases across the globe.
04:26The United States alone has over 700 military bases, spread across more than 80 countries.
04:33Other Five Eyes countries also have some military presence in foreign countries, like the UK.
04:38On the other hand, if we talk about Russia, it also has over 20 military bases in foreign countries,
04:44which is very few compared to the Five Eyes countries.
04:48If we talk about nuclear weapons, Russia has over 5,500, while the USA has over 5,000.
04:54The UK has 225, but Canada, Australia, and New Zealand don't have any.
05:00So what do you think?
05:02Could Russia stand a chance against the Five Eyes?
