00:00Can you just tell us a bit more about this visit to Saudi Arabia by President Trump?

00:04What can we expect?

00:05Well, Tom, earlier this year, His Royal Highness Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman

00:09said on a call to President Trump that it was expected Saudi Arabia would work to invest

00:17up to $600 billion over a couple of years, four years or more, in the US.

00:22And some of us may have also seen the headlines from President Trump

00:28stating that he would call for that to be raised to a trillion dollars.

00:31There have been other commitments, similar commitments in the region,

00:34in the Middle East region as well, towards investing in the US.

00:37If we look at the nature of discussions and all the tariff mania that's been taking place

00:44the last couple of weeks, I think it's very clear that the name of the game is trade

00:49and trade relationships.

00:51The US seems to be particularly interested in developing the trade relationships.

00:56And Saudi Arabia, as we all know, under the Vision 2030 Economic Diversification Programme,

01:03of course, trade is one of the biggest items on the agenda.

01:07Now, the National Investment Strategy, which was established a few years ago,

01:12subsequently to the Vision 2030 Initiative,

01:15aims to grow the foreign direct investment 20-fold by 2030,

01:22so north of 300 billion Saudi Arabia.
