00:02I was camping with my boyfriend's family. Me, my boyfriend, his brother and his brother's friend went to the lake, 12 minutes from our campsite.
00:13I was blowing up an inner tube when some guy with a bicycle laid down on a bench near me.
00:18No big deal, he was just resting, so us forget in the water.
00:22I noticed 30 minutes later the man with the bike is now up and muttering to himself while looking at us.
00:28Eventually, the guy started yelling incoherently at us and getting closer.
00:33My boyfriend gets out of the water and walks past the guy to get to our car to grab a football.
00:38We thought the guy was on the phone.
00:40Turns out the guy is talking about drowning the family with a little girl that was also at the lake with us.
00:46My boyfriend calls his parents. We all get out of the water once he tells us what's going on.
00:52The guy starts coming closer to us then turning back, then coming closer and turning back.
00:56He does this for 6 minutes then comes over to us, talking crazy like how he's gonna kill us for coming here.
01:03My boyfriend tells him to go away, that's when we see the machete on his belt.
01:08While talking to my boyfriend his demeanor changed and he says, yeah I respect you no problem etc and he walks away.
01:15We would have to pass him to get the car so we were weary of leaving but of course, a minute later he starts coming back.
01:21Finally my boyfriend's family shows up and so does a cop.
01:25Well the cop goes, hey chad what are you doing here talking about the crazy guy.
01:29Turns out he was high out of his mind and drunk and this wasn't his first encounter with the cops.
01:35The cops got him and took the knife away which was on a belt.
01:38We got home safe but being cornered by a crazy man with a knife is not fun.
01:43Story number 2
01:44It was a Friday night and we were in our late teens and were busy in studies.
01:50Me and my two other friends, let's call them Mark and Jimmy, decided to camp deep into the woods since it had been a long time since we had met up and did any activities.
02:00After a long hour of trailing we finally found a perfect spot to set up our tents.
02:04After setting up the tents we decided to explore the woods.
02:08After like 5 minutes we found another tent and I don't know but we were kinda surprised.
02:13But we didn't think anything of it and nor did we find anyone but after like 3 minutes of walking we found a tall man that were just standing and staring into the dark.
02:23I was kind of creeped out and my friend Mark decided to say hello to them.
02:27They both turned around with emotionless faces and waved their hand.
02:31The way that they were moving made me uncomfortable.
02:33I told my friend Jimmy about it and he agreed.
02:37My friend asked them if that tent was theirs and they said yeah.
02:40That kind of made me think how that one small little tent was going to fit, both of them but anyways, we said bye to them and retracted our path and they went back to staring into the darkness.
02:50While going back we came across that tent again and my friend Mark thought that it would be a good idea to check what they had inside their tents.
02:57My friend Jimmy said I don't think so but changed his mind after a bit so we unzipped the zipper and went in.
03:04We all were kinda confused to see nothing there instead of a bag.
03:07So we decided to open up the bag and inside that bag we saw were cutting tools like cleaver, a machete, a hatchet and stuff like that.
03:15After seeing what was inside that bag made all of us really scared and we decided to head back to our tent before they come back and do anything to us.
03:23After arriving at our tents we set up a fire and talked about those two men and about how weird they looked.
03:29After like an hour more we forgot about it and kept talking until suddenly one of the men came to us and asked Mark with a serious face did you check our bag.
03:37Me and Jimmy got really scared but Mark decided to act like a tough guy and said yeah we did, so what?
03:43Are you going to do something?
03:45That man started to yell and went back to his camp.
03:47We were frightened and decided to go back to our house.
03:51We're packing up until both of those men came running and yelling at us with machete and an axe in their hands.
03:57We all screamed and sprinted to our cars.
04:00We eventually got into our car and drove off and watched as those men just stared at our car.
04:05We all were in a state of shock and decided never to camp again.
04:09Story number 3
04:10Back in 2021 my husband and I were camping in Wyoming at the Boyson Reservoir.
04:17We got really lucky and were able to book a beachfront site, directly leading to the water but the downside was that it was very, very far away from the other campsites.
04:27We were essentially isolated from everyone else, at the time though it sounded like a dream come true.
04:32The thing about Wyoming is that it's so desolate to the point where it's pitch black and eerily dead silent once the sun is gone.
04:39We set up our camp, enjoyed our fire, but shortly after that a random SUV with blacked out windows came driving down our road and into our site.
04:48They drove towards us and my husband tried to wave in case they were lost and needed help but instead they ignored us and drove down to the beach,
04:56stayed there for 5 minutes, turned around and went back up the way they came.
05:00We immediately got a bad vibe, my husband told me to throw everything in the car and he kept shining a flashlight towards the beach because we had a feeling they dropped someone off to watch us.
05:10After we packed up we got in the car and hauled ass.
05:13Lo and behold, the same car drove back into our campsite and when they saw us leaving, they actually started chasing us.
05:20Mind you, the roads in Wyoming are bumpy and unkept when you're in the wilderness on top of that, enormous wildlife that wanders in and out of the streets.
05:30My husband said I have to go fast, are you okay with that?
05:34And I said just go and get us out of here.
05:36We were easily going 80 miles per hour down these windy roads and even through a canyon,
05:41they were on our tail for about 10 minutes until we lost them after passing through the canyon,
05:46most terrifying experience of our lives.
05:49We think about it to this day and wonder what could have happened if we didn't listen to our gut at that moment.
