00:00Myanmar on Monday marked the one-month anniversary of the massive quake that struck on March 28, 2025,

00:08killing more than 3,000 in Myanmar and 62 in Bangkok due to a building collapse.

00:13The 7.7 magnitude quake, one of Myanmar's strongest in a century, jolted a region home to 28 million,

00:22toppling buildings such as hospitals, flattening communities and leaving many without food, water and shelter.

00:28The World Health Organization flagged a rising risk of cholera and other diseases in the worst affected areas,

00:35such as Mandalay, Sagaing and the capital of Nypeta, while it prepared $1 million of relief supplies, including body bags.

00:45However, Myanmar's junta has kept up a deadly military campaign, including airstrikes and artillery assaults,

00:53despite announcing a ceasefire after a major earthquake killed thousands in March,

00:59according to the United Nations, and data from a crisis monitor.
