Ingredients & Instructions
1/4 cup rice soaked in water for 30 minutes (Rice should be gobindo bhog or any fragrant short grain rice)
After 30 minutes, in a preheated vessel, add 1 litre of milk and bring to a boil.
Reduce heat and let it simmer.
Add the rice. Cook on low heat, stirring occasionally until the rice is soft and the milk is thickened.
Stir in cashew powder for extra creaminess 1/4 cup.
Add 1/2 cup sugar
Once the rice is fully cooked, add grated paneer 1/2 cup
Add crushed cardamoms 2-3
Add 1-2 tbsp almond powder
Ghee 1 tbsp
Turn off the heat
Let it cool slightly and serve warm or chilled
Garnish with nuts and saffron (optional)
