11:11I hear you've been having some kind of trouble.
11:14Who? Us?
11:15Weren't you just yelling for help?
11:18We were only fooling around.
11:20Well, no more of that.
11:22It's dangerous to yell for help unless you really mean it.
11:25And you...
11:26Yes?
11:35Okay!
11:36Do it again, Arthur!
11:37You forgot to neigh!

11:47It's almost dark.
11:48Can we come back tomorrow?
11:49We'll see.
11:50I love the beach.
11:51Did you see me float?
11:52And I learned to swim?
11:53And the lifeguard gave me a ride?
11:54And she said that octopuses don't like lakes.
11:55And she's never even seen one.
11:56That's nice, honey.
11:57We'll come back another time, okay?

12:21What are you doing?
12:24Okay?
12:25you know how people get carried away with things sometimes like when dw played hippo
12:41hunt for four days straight or when francine tried to make a hundred baskets in a row
12:48here goes number 73 wait that one didn't count
12:55well now buster's gone crazy for dinosaurs
13:03wow arthur did you see that uh-huh amazing
13:12buster's especially excited because on wednesday our class is going on a field trip
13:19to rainbow rock state park where we will hunt for fossils of ancient animals including dinosaurs
13:29everyone please file out in an orderly fashion triceratops
13:47so when i've discovered this new dinosaur what should i call it busterosaurus buster dog
14:02hey where do we put the chisels got them how about the brushes got them what about the got them
14:10children if you could all quiet down quiet follow me this is ranger roof she's going to tell us a
14:26thing or two about fossils before we go out and explore for ourselves hi kids
14:32don't you look like a smart bunch of boys and girls can any of you tell me what a fossil is
14:42you with the ears it's the calcified remains of ancient organisms minerals seep into their tissue
14:52and harden preserving the forms of their bodies count on me to pick the class genius oh well for
14:58the rest of you boys and girls we have a little show lights buster that was awesome a hundred
15:06million years ago rainbow rock state park looked very different it was much hotter there were a lot
15:14of ferns and different insects and even dinosaurs
15:19eventually the ferns and animals would die
15:27thank you now usually the bodies would rot away but very very rarely the hard parts of the bodies
15:46like shells and bones would last many years later this whole area was covered by the sea over millions
15:54of years the soil turned to rock and the bones and shells turned to rock too then the sea dried up and
16:02finally a hundred million years later the result is
16:11so who wants to go on a fossil hunt
16:20man i can't wait to get my hands on one of those fossils
16:23i like the models better i like to see what the dinosaurs really look like yeah but there's
16:31something about a fossil i mean it's the actual thing you know the actual bone of something that
16:37was alive millions of years ago listen up everyone you see the layers in this rock each layer was formed
16:46at a different time the ones on the bottom are from the beginning of the cretaceous period which was
16:52136 million years ago very good the top layers are from about 20 million years later so we can tell
17:01how old a fossil is by where it is in the cliff how are we supposed to get fossils out of a cliff when
17:08all we have are these little buckets oh you kids aren't hunting in the cliffs that's for real
17:13paleontologists you kids get to hunt in the stream in the stream all right
17:22the water's great hey look i found a fossil oh no wait it's a rock hey here's one

17:59like it's time to head in man i'm bushed i'm gonna keep working till we have to go huh
18:11but they've got soda there are fossils here you can drink soda anytime
18:17buster come on what do you expect to find in 10 more minutes you think you're just gonna reach into
18:22the water and pick one up buster are you okay buster quit it you're making me nervous what is it
18:36buster ow have you gone nuts i found it i found it it's here found what let me see i found it first

18:56arthur this is a footprint all right let's all go around and talk about the fossils we found
19:06we managed to recover what seems to be a fossilized shell well all right it looks like a marginula
19:13wait you mean we don't get to keep them oh didn't i explain we put the fossils in the museum so other
19:22children can come and see them if people took them all home there'd be none left who's next we didn't
19:28really find any fossils we found some neat rocks i can't believe it i can't believe they would do that to
19:36me that's okay i'm sure you tried hard next uh we didn't find anything either what do you mean we
19:48well that's the way it goes sometimes it's okay we had fun anyway we're never gonna get away with this
19:56but buster it isn't ours it belongs in the museum we found it didn't we but what if they search us on
20:08the way out what if they have some special fossil detector alarm hey genius i wanted to make sure
20:15you weren't too discouraged you have the makings of a real paleontologist she knows don't be silly bye now
20:30goodbye see ya have fun goodbye bye bye now
20:45so who can we tell about the the thing can we tell francine no it's too dangerous we have to keep it a
20:53secret
21:23did you find any nice fossils on your field trip dear no no nothing in particular
21:36so when can i come over and see it we can't take it out it's too dangerous what if my mom came in
21:42but buster what's the point of having it if we can't even take a look at it ourselves
21:46i hope everyone enjoyed our field trip even if the fossils you found weren't as spectacular as actual
21:54dinosaur fossils but they are extremely rare it would have been truly miraculous if you had discovered
22:03any dinosaur bones or teeth or even rarer dinosaur footprints
22:16who is it fossil police
22:24i'm sorry buster they made me tell they tickled me
22:28we have reason to believe you're hiding a dinosaur in this room but but that's ridiculous how could
22:43what's that noise

23:03arthur down here
23:09here you take it keep it i don't want it but i've got to get rid of it it's making me crazy
23:17i thought it'd be so great having this million year old thing all to myself but it's driving me nuts and
23:22now i can't even look at it it doesn't belong here so where does it belong
23:31hello is this ranger ruth so we're still not sure dr marsh thinks it's the footprint of a baby
