During a meeting with the Norwegian Prime Minister on Thursday, President Trump was asked if he thinks he can get Russia to accept a ceasefire agreement with Ukraine.

00:00No one has been a staunch supporter of Ukraine since the Russian invasion of 2022.

00:07Has something been discussed here today that may have altered your views on this?

00:14No, we want to, very simply, I have no allegiance to anybody.

00:19I have allegiance to saving lives, and I want to save a lot of lives.

00:22A lot of young people, mostly young people, it's the war, it's the soldiers, and if we can do that.

00:28I've also, as you know, I got started because the money that's been spent on this war is insane.

00:34It should have never happened, and it would have never happened if I were president.

00:39But Biden spent $350 billion on this, and it's a shame.

00:46And that's what got me involved, and then I looked at, and I see the results.

00:50It's horrible.

00:52It's a killing field.

00:535,000 soldiers a week, on average.

00:56And we want to stop that.

00:59We both want to stop that, for a lot of reasons, but I would say that is my number one reason.

01:04Do you think that Russia, that you will get Russia to accept a deal that also Ukraine and Europe is going to accept?

01:14I think so, yeah.

01:16I believe they will accept, and I think we're going to get this over with.
