00:24Chief Commissioner Tan Sri Azam Baki previously stated that the latest questioning focused
00:29on Ismail Sabri's asset declaration under Section 36 subsection 1 of the M.A.C.C. Act 2009.
00:38He added that the first phase of the investigation had been completed and the probe has now entered
00:43its next stage.
00:45Ismail Sabri last gave a statement at the M.A.C.C. on March 24 in connection with an investigation
00:52into alleged corruption and money laundering related to the use of funds for the Kilwarga
00:57Malaysia publicity campaign during his premiership from August 2021 to November 2022.
01:06The case is being investigated under the M.A.C.C. Act 2009 and the Anti-Money Laundering, Anti-Terrorism
01:13Financing and Proceeds of Unlawful Activities Act 2001.
01:18On March 3, Azam revealed that Ismail Sabri was a suspect in the case, which followed the
01:24discovery of RM170 million in cash at a safe house during a raid.
