02:03unproduced screenplays, The Down Slope, which is being developed as a movie trilogy.
02:08The Down Slope is described as a cautionary anti-war tale, the story follows a series of
02:13civil war battles in the Shenandoah Valley, between Union General George Armstrong Custer
02:19and Confederate Colonel John Singleton Mosby. Kubrick spent years working on the story,
02:25creating maps and extensive notes on how to shoot the war movie. The Down Slope will expand
02:30on his original story and Head West, following Americans settling in a new frontier after the war.
