Naima Akef (Tanta, 7 ottobre 1929 – Il Cairo, 23 aprile 1966) è stata una ballerina e attrice egiziana.Fu una stellina del circo fin dalla tenera eta' di 4 anni e ci lavorò fino ai 14 anni.Alla fine degli anni '30, fece parte della troupe di Badia Masabni e lavorò nei cabaret più in della capitale. Il successo cinematografico arrivò nel 1949 e si mantenne fino al 1964, anno in cui l'attrice decise di lasciare le scene per accudire suo figlio.Nel 1957, Naima partecipò come membro della delegazione egiziana al 6º Festival Mondiale della Gioventù e degli Studenti nell'Unione Sovietica, un concorso che si teneva al Teatro Bol'šoj ed in cui si esibivano ballerini provenienti da oltre 50 diversi Paesi. In questa occasione venne premiata con una medaglia d'oro per la sua esibizione di danza; durante lo stesso festival, anche il grande musicista egiziano Mohammed Abdel Wahab ottenne un premio per la canzone Aziza.
Naima Akef (Tanta, 7 October 1929 – Cairo, 23 April 1966) was an Egyptian dancer and actress. She was a star of the circus from the tender age of 4 and worked there until the age of 14. In the late 1930s, she was part of the Badia Masabni troupe and worked in the most in cabarets of the capital. The cinematic success came in 1949 and continued until 1964, the year in which the actress decided to leave the scene to take care of her son. In 1957, Naima participated as a member of the Egyptian delegation at the 6th World Festival of Youth and Students in the Soviet Union, a competition held at the Bolshoi Theatre and in which dancers from over 50 different countries performed. On this occasion, she was awarded a gold medal for her dance performance; During the same festival, the great Egyptian musician Mohammed Abdel Wahab also won an award for the song Aziza.
