Running Out Of Gas

00:07many times. It's like, I made fun of her earlier, not knowing how, you know, that you've done this

00:11before, so I'm like, wow, you know, she hadn't really had experience driving or really doing

00:15any of this for herself. You've been driving for how long? How long have you had your driver's

00:20license? I think I was 16, so 20 years. So where did the disconnect come? I think it's because

00:27I'm really lazy, I think. That's why. You just don't want to stop and get it. But I mean,

00:33there's memes that go around like when girls run out of gas, they won't stop, but they'll

00:38stop at Starbucks every day. You know what I mean? It's like, same thing. Starbucks gas

00:42stations. Boom. There we go. There it is. It's the most expensive place in the world. How

00:47much easier would it be, like in New York, you don't pump your own gas. They pump it for

00:51you. Well, I know in New Jersey, yeah, New Jersey, and I think Oregon too, they have all

00:55full service. Like, they won't let you. They won't even let you pump your own gas. Yeah,

00:59yeah. So like, I would like to do that. I think Freddy's pumps for you. Yeah, there's

01:04Fabulous Freddy's on Durango. Yeah. They'll do it. But I get really weirded out when people

01:08try to pump my gas. Are doing it for you? I hate when people pump my gas, and I hate,

01:12I don't know why, and I hate like getting my car valeted. It drives me, because you know

01:17what? I think it's the Ferris Bueller's Day Off thing. Yeah. I think I saw the movie, and I just

01:20think that they're going to do something in my car. I don't want to see the volume

01:23change. I don't want to see the radio station change. I want to see nothing change. That's

01:27so funny. Yeah. A little OCD there. So two of my, I run out of gas a lot. I'm very lucky.

01:36What was the last time? Probably a couple years ago, like a year ago, maybe. Okay. Yeah.

01:45A lot of the time, I run out of gas in a parking spot. So I'm very lucky, I think.

01:53Okay. One time, I was doing a remote at Brio at, what is it? Town Square. Town Square.

02:00Yeah. And I was in the garage, and I made it there. The car goes on, it's like,

02:04not even, not even. I pull in, turn it off. I was like, ah, I got to get gas on my way out

02:11of here. Got to get, I mean, it's been on for a minute. My light's been on for a minute.

02:14I got to get gas. So when I went to go pull out, I start the car and pull out, and it just

02:20doesn't go anymore. It just stops at like the back. So I'm like, oh my gosh. So I had

02:25to call our promotions director who had the car and everything. I'm like, hey, how far

02:30are you? It's like, I'm out of gas. He had to come and, and we pushed my car back into

02:36the spot. We went and got gas. We came, we had to get a can and gas. You'd think I would

02:41have one in my car at this point. And, uh, it took forever for us to try to figure out

02:47how to get it out. Cause it's like got this weird lock on it. Like it took forever. Security

02:51was coming over there. Like, do you need help? We're like, can you try? I don't know. So

02:55about an hour later, we finally able to leave 702-597-1027, the worst timing possible for

03:01you losing or running out of gas, having your car just go kaput on you for something that you

03:05should have like maybe an oil change you didn't do. I mean, so I, after that time, my husband

03:11was so mad at me. He was so mad at me. And he's like, you need to start getting gas. Like,

03:16come on, you're an adult, blah, blah, blah. So, uh, then we had, uh, another, we, we did

03:23a 5k. We emceed a 5k. I get my car to leave. It was a Saturday morning. You know, the 5ks

03:31are early. So it was like maybe 11 o'clock on my way home. And I was on the 15.

03:35And I ran out of gas. Uh, I believe it was like Craig or, or I don't remember where it

03:42was, but I'm like, no, oh my gosh, what am I going to do? I can't call my husband. He's

03:46going to be so mad. There's nobody else. It was just me. And I'm like, shoot. Did you

03:50get to the side of the road at least? I got to the side of the road. Um, but it was so

03:54scary and don't come at me. I know people are going to be mad because I ran out of gas and

04:00it's stupid. I know it's been a while since I have, but that feeling of sadness when you

04:06break down on a highway, that has happened to me like a few weeks ago.

04:08Like shaking, right? When people are going by. So I was at a crossroads here. I'm like,

04:13I can't call my, there's no way I can't call my husband because he's going to yell at me

04:17even more. So I went online and I found it's like an Uber eats, but for gas.

04:22You send them your location and it's like $60 a gallon. I swear on everything I love. So I got

04:32my credit card out. I called the guy. I was like, whatever it costs. I just can't tell my husband,

04:36please just come save me. So I had to wait like a half hour, 45 minutes. He comes, he gives me one

04:43gallon of gas for $60. And then he said, but you're still going to need to get gas. Like right now.

05:02I'll tell you why your car died when you were pulling out of the garage. Cause you were parked

05:06at like a little bit of an angle, right? Like it's like going up the elevation a little bit.

05:10Not at town square. Yeah. No, I don't think so. I was in the lower floor. Okay. Well, okay.

05:16Then, but I know what you're really dead. Cause yeah. Cause the little intake is probably tilted

05:21your car. It's like, I got no gas left, but it was like a little bit left.

05:24No, it was gone. It was for sure. God, my goodness. Um, Stephanie says that. And you said

05:28the same thing. Stephanie on our text line, 702-597-1027 said she ran out one time in the late

05:35eighties and somebody told her I ruined the fuel injected cars. Yes. Well, because you have all the,

05:41like the sediment from the gases at the bottom of the tank and that all gets shot out in your

05:45engines. Terrible. So she's, and so she said she's never done it since this song dedicated

05:49to you for spending $60 on a gallon of gas.
