00:30I am here today on behalf of Kilmar Abrego Garcia's family and as their legal

00:36counsel to demand his access to rights. I came here to El Salvador and I should say

00:43first and foremost I want to thank the congressional delegation standing behind

00:47me for their bravery, for their leadership, and for their action in coming down here

00:53despite the uncertainty to try to liberate Mr. Abrego Garcia. I came here with three

01:01distinct goals in mind. Number one to ensure that Mr. Abrego Garcia is in fact

01:06alive today. Number two to make sure that he is healthy and safe and then number

01:11three to ensure that he has access to counsel and to his family as is

01:16required by international law. We know nothing of Mr. Abrego Garcia's whereabouts

01:24since the staged photo op on Thursday with Senator Von Holland. We demand to

01:30immediately know where he is and to have access to him. Unfortunately we are no

01:36longer able to trust the representations about this case made either by the

01:40United States government or by the Salvadoran government. And indeed this

01:45case is about many things but above all it is about truth versus lies. And there

01:52have been a lot of mistruths that have been told about Mr. Abrego Garcia and his

01:56family. A lot of defamation coming from the highest office in our country and the

02:01most powerful office in the world. And I am grateful to all of you the reporters

02:05here in El Salvador for coming to help us excavate the truth of this case. And the

02:12truth is that Mr. Abrego is an innocent man who has been deprived of his basic human

02:17rights.

02:18First of all, I want to thank all the congressmen for coming here. And in particular, I want to

02:27say thank you for your leadership, your courage and your action in coming to the United States

02:34to liberate Mr. Abrego Garcia. I, as an advocate of Mr. Abrego Garcia, I come here with three
