00:03My wife and I were most deeply saddened to learn of the death of Pope Francis.
00:08Our heavy hearts have been somewhat eased. However, to know that His Holiness was able
00:12to share an Easter greeting with the Church and the world he served with such devotion
00:17throughout his life and ministry. Pope Francis died aged 88 on Easter Monday at 7.35am.
00:24The King and Queen had met with Pope a mere 11 days prior in a private audience state
00:30visit to Italy. The Queen and I remember with particular affection our meetings with His
00:35Holiness over the years, and we were greatly moved to have been able to visit him earlier
00:39in the month. His Majesty continues, we end our most heartfelt condolences and profound
00:45sympathy to the Church he served with such resolve, and to the countless people around
00:49the world who, inspired by his life, will be mourning the devastating loss of this faithful
00:54follower of Jesus Christ.
