Crypto Strategic Reserve Executive Order What It REALLY Means for Crypto & XRP

00:00In today's video, we're going to run down why the strategic reserve is important for the US

00:04and what it means to you and crypto. All right, so last week we had Trump sign it. He signed the

00:12executive order for a strategic reserve for Bitcoin here in the US, which is a promise that

00:17he made on the campaign trail. But I don't know that it means everything that the Bitcoin Maxis

00:22thinks it means. We're also going to get into why he tweeted about XRP, Salon, and ADA the Sunday

00:27before he signs this executive order, and then none of that was mentioned in the executive order.

00:32I mean, well, it kind of was with the stockpile, and we'll get into that too. So stick around,

00:36hang out, and we're going to run it all down. All right, so basically what the bill says

00:42is that they're going to take all of the confiscated Bitcoin that they still have,

00:47and they're going to use that as the strategic reserve here in the US. And Trump did say that

00:52they could buy more Bitcoin, but it can't be a cost to the taxpayer. So they've got to come up with

00:57some other ways that they can do that. The ways that I've thought through that this might make

01:01sense is if there are dams across the US that could use hydroelectric power, and maybe the US

01:08government could set up mining pools for Bitcoin, and there's excess energy that, you know, they own

01:13the Hoover Dam. There's certain dams and power centers across the US that the US government has

01:20domain over or participates in. And there's a potential way that they could divert some of

01:27that energy that's used there into a Bitcoin mining mechanism. And that's a way that they

01:32could participate and earn more Bitcoin and continue to stockpile it for the reserve.

01:36But I really don't see that there's not a whole lot of other resources for them to be able to purchase

01:41Bitcoin, right? Now, for the stockpile, that's a bit different. They gave some leeway there

01:49that they could negotiate things or do other things to be able to pull in those other assets.

01:53And they did say that they are going to bring in other digital assets into the stockpile, which I

01:59think will include ADA, XRP, maybe some Solana, things that they think are going to be a systemic

02:06importance or of systemic importance. And I think that this was more of a put than a call

02:15on Bitcoin. It's kind of like, well, just in case we're wrong about this thing, maybe we should fold

02:22it in. And that's kind of how Trump talked about it. In most of the circumstances, when he's been

02:27discussing this, even when he was signing the executive order, he was like, oh, this, yeah,

02:32we promised this. Okay. Yeah. Well, yeah, this seems like a good idea. We'll just go ahead and sign

02:36across the dotted line here. And then when he was talking about it at the crypto summit on Friday,

02:40he said, you know, Bitcoin holders say not to sell their Bitcoin and they've been right up to this

02:45point, but who really knows? You know, uh, those were almost his words verbatim. So I don't know

02:52that the U S government or Trump is oversold on Bitcoin, that it is the end all be all of digital

02:58assets. I think that there are some of the things going on behind the scenes. We know that many of

03:02the other companies, uh, CEOs and people that are advocating for certain networks are meeting with

03:08Trump on a regular basis. And at least they're open to it, right? This is the first, uh, administration

03:13really, that's been pro crypto. There's bipartisan support for, uh, regulation in the space. Uh, he did

03:21state that we're going to see stable coin regulations by August of this year, uh, at the crypto summit

03:27this last week as well. And so I think that that's really awesome for the space. And I think that we're

03:32going to see the appreciation and certain networks are going to get included. Uh, the, the work

03:38group is still in that 180 day period where they're going to decide what the other assets

03:43in the stockpile are going to be. And I think that depending on how the next, you know, 30,

03:4760, 90 days work out for different assets and their utility or adoption, uh, or appreciation,

03:54uh, some of those things could change dramatically. Um, the main wild card that I think a lot of people

04:01are anticipating, uh, the U S government to use here, maybe ripple to use to include XRP,

04:07in the strategic reserve or the stockpile, most likely the stockpile at this point,

04:12uh, is the escrow that ripple holds. And ripple does hold, you know, 48 billion XRP, uh, in the

04:20escrow. And there's a potential that the U S government could say, Hey, you know, let's, uh,

04:26let's settle up those fines, um, from the sec case, which it's still the only one outstanding,

04:31which is crazy to me. Uh, the sec has dismissed all of the other cases, um, by regulation, by

04:39enforcement that were under the Biden administration, except for ripple versus the sec, uh, and the

04:44appeal that that is, that's been put forth there, even after, uh, they got the judgment of 125

04:50million, uh, that ripple would owe the sec for damages, uh, which, you know, you can have your

04:56opinions there. I have mine. So anyway, but I think that is a, a way that they could say, Hey,

05:03let's just take this 125 million from ripple. Let's instead of cash that they put in the escrow,

05:07let's take it from, from them in XRP. So that'd be around 50 million XRP right now at the current

05:13value. Uh, you also have the instance that, uh, ripple met with the fed back in 2014. Uh, Greg kid

05:21was like the fourth of an employee at ripple and he orchestrated that meeting. And so what was

05:26discussed back then, right? Was there an allocation of their 1700 NDAs that ripple has across the globe

05:34with financial institutions, enterprises, and potentially governments. And the U S government

05:39could be one of those NDAs that already has an allocation to XRP. And that was one of the things

05:45that, uh, the crypto czar mentioned just recently in an interview. He stated that we haven't

05:51audited what crypto the government owns. We just know that they've confiscated that Bitcoin.

05:56And so we need to go through a full audit of what the U S government actually owns. And then based on

06:01those results, it's likely that we would include some of those assets in the stockpile. And so I

06:07think as they go through the audit, they might find out that the U S government already owns some

06:11XRP and it might be a pretty good chunk just depending on, you know, uh, those NDAs and what that

06:17actually looks like, or there could be a preallocated price, uh, or negotiated price between

06:22ripple and U S government from back in the day that maybe they can claim or pick up. So I do think

06:28that XRP will be included in the, uh, stockpile here in the U S I think it'll need to be. Uh, and I

06:34think that that escrow that ripple holds is likely going to play a role, um, in how that happens and

06:41maybe even a lawsuit, right? There's, there's a lot of things up in the air. Uh, but I'm really bullish

06:45on, uh, some of these other assets being included in the strategic reserve. Hopefully H bar gets

06:51some recognition. I think that that one's a prominent asset that, that probably should be

06:56included. XLM XDC. There's, there's some other things that I think the U S government should

07:01probably be looking at aside from Bitcoin. Um, now that Tether has moved offshore, but that's another

07:08topic. So hopefully this has been valuable for you. I think that XRP is definitely going to get

07:13included. Bitcoin's obviously there and that there will be many others that the U S government looks

07:18at in the next 180 days before they decide what's in the actual stockpile. Uh, but let me know what

07:34mentioned Bitcoin and ETH after he tweeted about XRP salon and ADA. So it's all kind of up in the air.
