00:00All right, let's do this.
00:03Look at that!
00:05All right, over first!
00:07Over first!
00:09Woo!
00:11Oh my God!
00:13Oh my God!
00:15Look at this!
00:17Look at the Earth!
00:19Look at the Earth!
00:21Oh man!
00:23Oh my God!
00:25This is psych.
00:27This is psych.
00:29Okay, I got a few things to do.
00:33All right!
00:35First for you!
00:37Cam appears!
00:39Dude, look at the Earth!
00:41Just look outside!
00:43Oh my God!
00:45Where's face?
00:47Man is happy, buddy.
00:49India with pride.
00:51India to space.
00:53India to space!
00:55Woohoo!
00:57Hey there!
00:59Eight.
01:01Seven.
01:02Six.
01:03Five.
01:04Four.
01:05Command engine start.
01:06Two.
01:07One.
01:08Zero.
01:09Ignition.
01:10New Shepard has cleared the tower.
01:20The rocket and our astronauts are heading up to space.
01:22New Shepard has cleared the tower.
01:23New Shepard has cleared the tower.
01:24New Shepard has cleared the tower.
01:25New Shepard has cleared the tower.
01:26New Shepard has cleared the tower.
01:27New Shepard has cleared the tower.
01:28New Shepard has cleared the tower.
01:29New Shepard has cleared the tower.
01:30New Shepard has cleared the tower.
01:31New Shepard has cleared the tower.
01:32New Shepard has cleared the tower.
01:33New Shepard has cleared the tower.
01:34New Shepard has cleared the tower.
01:35New Shepard has cleared the tower.
01:36New Shepard has cleared the tower.
01:37New Shepard has cleared the tower.
01:38New Shepard has cleared the tower.
01:39New Shepard has cleared the tower.
01:40New Shepard has cleared the tower.
01:41The speedometer on the right and the speedometer on the left.
01:5010,000 feet.
02:04All right.
02:05As we go through this flight, there are a couple of milestones here.
02:07The first one will be max Q.
02:11That's when the dynamic pressures are the highest on the vehicle.
02:16We go from 100% power, pull it back a little bit as we go through max Q, and then ramp her back up to 100%.
02:23One.
02:23One.
02:24One.
02:24One.
02:24One.
02:24One.
02:24One.
02:24One.
02:25One.
02:25One.
02:26One.
02:26One.
02:27One.
02:27One.
02:28One.
02:28One.
02:29One.
02:30One.
02:31One.
02:32One.
02:33One.
02:34One.
02:35One.
02:36One.
02:37Max Q has been confirmed.
02:55Again, thank you, everybody, for joining us for New Shepard's 25th mission to space.
02:59So far in nominal flight, we have gone through max Q.
03:04100,000 feet.
03:05And the vehicle will continue to climb under full power of the BE-3 engine.
03:12The next milestone will be main engine cutoff.
03:18You will know when that happens, you will know when you see the glow of the engine at the base of the rocket go dim.
03:25You will know when you see the vehicle.
03:26No.
03:27One.
03:28One.
03:29One.
03:31One.
03:32One.
03:33One.
03:34One.
03:35One.
03:36One.
03:37One.
03:38One.
03:39One.
03:40One.
03:41One.
03:42One.
03:43One.
03:44Now, with the main engine cut off, with the BE-3 engine turned off, the vehicle continues to climb up towards its apogee, but as you will see on the left side, the speedometer will come down.
04:00And once that speedometer hits zero, that's when you know exactly that the vehicle has hit apogee, its highest altitude in the flight of the vehicle.
04:11Now, I understand that separation of the capsule from the booster has been confirmed.
04:19All right, let's do this.
04:22Look at that!
04:24All right, all over first!
04:26All over first!
04:28Woo!
04:29Oh my God!
04:31Oh my God!
04:32Oh my God!
04:34Woo!
04:35Woo!
04:36Look at the Earth!
04:37Look at the Earth!
04:38Come on, man!
04:40Come on, man!
04:41Oh my God!
04:42Oh my God!
04:43This is like insane!
04:47Okay, I got a few things to do.
04:50All right!
04:51Woo-hoo-hoo!
04:52First for you!
04:53Cam appears!
04:54Woo-hoo-hoo-hoo!
04:55Dude, look at the Earth!
04:56Just look outside!
04:57Oh my God!
04:58There's just weird space!
04:59Dude, weird space!
05:00Man is happy, buddy!
05:01India with pride!
05:02India with space!
05:03India with space!
05:04India with space!
05:05Woo-hoo!
05:06Hey there!
05:07All right, you see the, excuse me, the booster that is headed down.
05:20You see the drag fins, the drag brakes that have just deployed.
05:37Those cut the speed of the booster in half.
05:41Also at the top of the rocket there, you see the forward fins.
05:46They kind of look like pie slices.
05:48One on each quadrant.
05:50That helps keep the vehicle stable.
05:52And there we go.
05:53BE-3 engine relight.
05:56Landing gear deployed.
05:5750 feet.
05:58Can you press second?
05:59Touchdown.
06:00Auto 7 started.
06:01And touchdown!
06:02Welcome home, New Shepard!
06:17What a beautiful flight to space and back for that booster.
06:23But the show is not over.
06:28The crew capsule has deployed its guide parachutes and its mains.
06:38Everything looking nominal on today's flight.
06:45Looks like we do have two parachutes that have full inflation.
06:49The third is not quite fully inflated.
06:52But actually, Jackie, this is part of the design.
06:58One of the, in fact, we were talking about my webcast.
07:02The first webcast that we did, we actually, we tested a shootout.
07:06There are multiple redundant factors in this system.
07:12And so landing with two parachutes is perfectly okay for this system.
07:18You'll also see the dust take out of the base of the capsule as she comes in to land.
07:25That is the air cushioning system.
07:27It's going to kick up a lot of that West Texas dust you just talked about.
07:30But also, there it is, touchdown of the crew capsule.
07:37A beautiful flight for our rocket, for our crew capsule, for our six new astronauts, Mason, Sylvain, Ken, Carol, Gopi, and Ed.
07:49You are officially astronauts.
07:52Welcome home, everybody.
