So che quando parlo dell’Occidente, in realtà non parlo principalmente di uno spazio geografico. Parlo di una civiltà. E voglio rafforzare quella civiltà. Quindi penso che, anche se esistono dei problemi tra le due sponde dell’Atlantico, sia arrivato il momento di sedersi e cercare soluzioni. Voglio ringraziare il Presidente Trump per aver accettato l’invito a compiere una visita ufficiale a Roma nel prossimo futuro, e per aver considerato la possibilità, in quell’occasione, di incontrare anche l’Europa. Il mio obiettivo è rendere di nuovo grande l’Occidente. E penso che possiamo farlo. Insieme". Così il premier Giorgia Meloni nello Studio Ovale con il presidente degli Stati Uniti.
