00:00what's been your favorite part of the nfl draft process so far one week out from when the draft

00:04begins yeah no i think my favorite part so far has just been um you know really just enjoying

00:10the process and you know getting familiar with meeting all these new coaches and faces and

00:13everybody um you know training for the combine i met you know so many great people that uh you

00:19know i would have never got to meet if it wasn't for that so um really just kind of getting that

00:23exposure out there meeting new people and um uh yeah like you said just getting ready for the next

00:28stage taking a look here you know pennsylvania is a hotbed for football here you stay in state to go

00:34to pit take us through that journey because just reading your bio interesting stuff played quarterback

00:38your senior year did a lot of things here at the wide receiver slash tight end position how did you

00:43make your way to pit and also being a tight end at pit yeah so i actually wasn't even really supposed

00:48to be at pit i um was committed to buffalo going into my senior year of high school and you know

00:54i thought that was home i thought that's where i was going to spend my next four years but um

00:57uh you know in the back of my head i took a visit to pit like my sophomore year and i it always

01:02stuck out to me um you know just the facility the coaches the culture that they had here um but i

01:07just never had an offer and then about a week before signing day uh coach dues called me uh on my lunch

01:13break at work and um he offered me and i was like i'm taking it so um committed there on the spot and

01:19then uh came in here early as that early enrollee and um you know they had lucas krull uh as the tight

01:25end here so i was like got to try and find a way on the field and uh found myself as like the 12

01:30fullback position so um you know super blessed and thankful to get on the field early and um you know

01:35just kind of carried on from there and we appreciate that mentality to say the least drs not just the

01:42quarterback to end out his high school career as a senior a tight end a defensive end a puncher

01:48during his high school playing days in football as well gavin bartholomew can do it all gavin as

01:54we talk about being a tight end either collegiately at pit or especially taking that step to the next

02:01level that mentality of being in there or running a route i ask you this question would you rather

02:07deliver a mean pancake block or catch a touchdown pancake block for sure um i feel like there's no better

02:16feeling than that yeah there's no better feeling than that um you know just dominating the guy across

02:21from you but i mean catching touchdowns is fun don't get me wrong but
