00:00right darlings i want to talk about intrusive thoughts post baby and i feel like this is

00:05really important and we need to normalize it i have never experienced them before and i started

00:11getting them after giving birth to my second baby who is nearly two they can be completely at random

00:18they're absolutely horrendous and i was starting to think that i was a bad mum for even having

00:23these types of thoughts and they are so vivid it's actually really scary again because i want

00:30to normalize them i want to share some of the intrusive thoughts without going into too much

00:34detail so i could be at a train station going into london with my children and thinking what if a

00:42horrendous accident happens whilst i'm standing on the platform to my children what if my baby chokes

00:49whilst eating what if something happens to her when i'm not there and i get a phone call like my

00:54mind is running away with me and i really do try to catch myself from completely spiraling i just feel

01:02like our brains can completely go into overdrive and all we're trying to do is just protect our babies

01:08by the way these thoughts don't mean that you're a bad mama they're symptoms of intrusive thoughts
