Mark McMahon shares his thoughts on Masters Sunday, where Rory McIlroy tops the leaderboard on 12 under par, which is two shots clear of nearest challenger Bryson DeChambeau.

00:00Hello and welcome to Augusta National, the home of the Masters, where Rory McIlroy sits
00:06top of the leaderboard heading into today's final round. The Northern Irishman sits on 12
00:11under for the tournament, two clear of the nearest challenger Bryson Dishabal after he
00:15shot another 66 on Saturday. The two will now go head-to-head in the final pairing today with
00:22the 2.30pm local start time, 7.30pm back home for the much anticipated finale to this year's
00:28tournament. Tuck behind the top two are Corey Connors on minus eight, Patrick Reid and Ludwig
00:34Ahlberg both are on minus six, and then a final couple of Jason Day, Scotty Scheffler,
00:40Shane Larry and Justin Rose all on five under. While those fairs cannot be discounted,
00:49all eyes will definitely be on McIlroy and Dishambal though. This is a chance for Rory to
00:55secure the Grand Slam of golf, but standing in his way is of course Bryson Dishambal, the guy who
01:00denied him his fifth major of his career at Pinehurst at the US Open in 2024. That adds a little bit of
01:09extra space to this this afternoon's play, but both have already downplayed it. In the press conference
01:16yesterday, Rory was asked about it and he insisted he had a short memory. Bryson too, he said there was
01:22no ill feeling after the purse broke at the British Open last summer. As I said, it still adds a little
01:28bit of extra space to the proceedings, but Rory is very much in the zone already. As I said, in his
01:34press conference, his demeanor was slightly different from the one on Friday. He was a wee bit more jovial
01:40on the Friday, but yesterday he seemed to be in the zone, not getting carried away with things and
01:45certainly was approaching that aspect of his duties here at Augusta, very business-like. He stressed he
01:53wasn't going to be getting emotional, was going to still play his natural game and definitely wasn't
02:00going to be a robot as he sort of honed in on what he needed to do to bring home that green jacket.
02:06A little bit of Bridgerton was his choice of relaxation last night, slightly different from
02:12DeChambeau who insisted he be watching James Bond, would be on his phone, something that Rory said he
02:18wouldn't be, obviously a reference to seeing what social media was saying ahead of today's contest.
02:23So two totally different characters, there's no denying that, but they're two players who are united by
02:28a short goal and that is to win the 2025 Masters. As I say, a fascinating insight,
02:35a fascinating days in store. All eyes will be on those final pair and the hope is that Rory
