Safari Park is one of the most popular bold places in Karachi. Animals are placed in huge cages so that visitants can view them in their pure habitat. It is famous among the residents of Gulstan-e-Jahur and Gulshan-e-Iqbal as they like animals. It is cheap and affordable. It has a quiet and calm atmosphere.  Lieutenant General Atiq-ur-Rehman founded Safari Park in 1970. It is one of the earliest places. It was a self-sufficient project of the Karachi Municipal Corporation. Karachi Safari Park is now an autonomous section of the Community Development Department of the Government of Karachi. Currently, Safar Safari Park has been selected as Family Park.
