00:13I think this issue is another reason why Iran has agreed to speak with Trump and the Trump administration.

00:20The situation, the economic conditions in Iran are very dire.

00:25And the economy aside, the regime is not very popular at home due to social restrictions and political repression.

00:35We've seen wave after wave of anti-regime protests in recent years.

00:39We had the Mahsa Amini protests not long ago, which were very significant.

00:44So the regime, I don't think they can guarantee that in the event of war, the population would rally behind them.

00:51And that's another reason why I think they've decided to speak to the Trump administration.

00:57Because Trump is saying, he's not saying whether he wants a verification program or whether he wants it fully dismantled.

01:05We don't know exactly what he's after.

01:07But he's saying Iran can't have a nuclear weapon.

01:09And if we can't reach an agreement via diplomacy, then I will attack.

01:13And it seems like Iran believes him.
